Hi, my name is Ibrahim and this is Ibby Photo!
I picked up a camera to document my life and instead, found my passion in documenting the lives of others through my photography. I value every photograph I take and every moment I capture with a deep sense of nostalgia. As my client, no matter what job you may hire me for, my goal is to instill confidence in you and provide a comfortable experience.
I started my professional career as a photographer in 2017 and have focused on weddings, portraits, and sports. I began my journey as a fashion photographer for a boutique brand and shifted to wedding photography while working under experienced photographers in the industry. While growing my wedding portfolio, I continued to practice portraiture and picked up sports photography as a passion project for an independent college sports blog covering George Mason University sports.
Fast forwarding to the present, I'm continuing to serve the DC Metro area all while still perfecting my craft. I now offer services for events, portraits, real state, sports, and more. Throughout my journey, I've never shied away from giving advice and sharing my experiences to those who want to learn more. Whether it's picking up a camera for fun or to start a business of your own, I'm here to help! I'm available for lessons remotely and in-person around the Northern Virginia and DC metro area.

We absolutely loved having Ibby Photo work his camera magic during our annual Christmas party, which was Home Alone themed this year. He was wonderful at making sure he arrived on time, captured lots of aspects of the celebration, and felt like one of our long-time friends by the time he left. He was creative and so fun. We are thrilled by the quality of the photos he captured and hope to hire him again for future festivities!

Ibrahim was super excited to photograph our event, and even texted me after he left to say he had a blast. I appreciated his follow-up as well as his excitement for the work he was doing. The venue was set up such that some shots were in an extremely low-light situation, and we did not allow flash. Those shots had a higher amount of noise than I was expecting, but his pictures where a spotlight was involved turned out great. He did an exceptional job capturing the emotion of attendees and this album includes one of my favorite photos of our events to date.

Ibrahim is an astounding photographer. I saw his work online through George Mason University’s Twitter page first and reached out to him for my brother in law’s wedding. I knew I wanted him because he has the ability to capture movement so well and that was important for us because we move a lot at parties, and we have so many kids running around we wanted to be included. He did a phenomenal job. The photos all came out amazing. I have two of them framed in my home!
Ibrahim is so, so kind and patient. During the photoshoot prior to the wedding, he patiently arranged us all to get nice creative shots. He came up with so many creative memorable shots for all of us. He went above and beyond and he is my go-to photographer for everything now!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies on the service request and is not at a fixed hourly rate. Certain services will have cheaper hourly rates if multiple hours are booked. For any onsite activity including photography lessons, all service requests are subjected to travel fees based solely on mileage. I do not charge exorbitant travel fees or any other added fees. Credit card transactions are subjected to a 3% percent processing fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Upon initial contact, I like to get on a call and walk through the needs of my clients and most importantly to build a solid relationship. I firmly believe that this type of consulting and introductory process translates to a better experience for both myself and the client. Trust me, stress and discomfort shows in photos!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After taking a digital photography course, I quickly developed my skillset and jumped into the professional world. Prior to taking my own clients, I worked under a professional in the wedding industry as an understudy and assistant. There I learned the business as well as the caliber of professional photography.
