Had a stair handrail installed. Very responsive. Flexible hours. Affordable.
We wanted to start off saying that we love Thumbtack. We hired Tim because of the wonderful reviews that he had and he was so quick to get back to us on a proposal. He was very fixable with his schedule and ours. We were amazed that he offered to come out New Year's Day to patch up/fix our dry walling in our up stairs bathroom. Tim arrived in a timely manner and immediately started tackling the job. Another thing that was so touching about hiring him is he brought his wife along to watch him work because he had a busy schedule the next couple of days and wouldn't get to spend much time with her. We both enjoyed their company as he worked on the bathroom. He actually taught my husband how to patch dry walling, which was very nice because we are getting our house ready to sale. He finished the bathroom project in a few hours and we were very happy with the results. We will definitely hire Tim in the future and recommend him to anyone that needs an all around handyman.
I turned to Nas Construction as a full service provider company. As a mother of 2 whom works a full time job, I find it very helpful to have someone take care of the process. Nas Construction took responsibility of everything, leading to the renovation of my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. They contacted the management company and ordered the materials. This allowed me to focus on other aspects of my life and not to worry about the construction. During the countertop installation, we had a bit of a glitch. The countertop cracked. I was panicking since I needed to cook and used my kitchen. Jhonathan totally took on the responsibility and apologized. I had a beautiful countertop installed in my kitchen in less than a week with the help of there materials dept. I was very pleased with the final results and the way I was treated. I recommend Nas Construction to those of us who need to renovate their kitchen or bath and cant afford to dedicate so much time to the process that leads to the construction and completion.
We hired Jose and his team to cover our porch, steps and walkway with flagstone. The team did a great job and we absolutely love the outcome; our home now looks polished and inviting! I really appreciated how Jose explained all that he and his team would need to do during the project--including removing and re-installing bannisters/railings to allow for the increased height of the flagstone. That's a part of the project that I would never have thought of--and we appreciated how the different parts of the project were itemized in the quote. Jose was great at communicating with us and providing us project updates. We ran into weather delays (it rained for many days in a row), but his team was still able to do a little bit each day. Jose also was good at letting us know that some of our landscaping would get some wear and tear during the project. I appreciated the heads up and how his team tried to minimize the damage as much as possible. Unfortunately we did things backwards and had new landscaping before the hardscaping. Lesson learned for us, as we had to put more money into landscaping--so keep that in mind--none of that was their fault! I would definitely recommend J.Portillo Construction, LLC..
Beli picked up my junk. He came right on time. He is very professional. I really recommend him if your next service. I accepted him for my next job at home.
Great work. They rebuilt our deck stairs and changed some light fixtures. The work was good, they were very professional and helpful, and showed up on time. Will hire again.
Tony did a beautiful job installing an office door in our house, and at an affordable price! It was a tricky installation because the doorway wasn't plumb and the new door abutted another door, but he and his colleague cut and adjusted everything so that the door hangs, opens, and closes beautifully, with no obstructions. If I had known the installation would look this good, I would've had it done ages ago. Thank you Tony!
Sam is the "Real McCoy" when it comes to handywork. He is detailed oriented, hardworking, and friendly. Truly a gem to find!
I hired Colwill Construction & Design, LLC to do handyman work in my home. I had lots of jobs from repairing front and back doors, drywall work, painting and repairing railings and power washing front and back concrete areas. There were other things needed and included in these visits. They spent more than adequate time in my home to make sure the jobs were done well. The work was done to the utmost of my satisfaction and was surprisingly quite affordable and guaranteed. I was able to get a written estimate of what the labor and material costs would be, allowing me to know, in advance, if I could afford it. I appreciate that there were no hidden costs, expert work, and friendly staff. I felt comfortable with the staff and was very happy with the work! I will definitely use this company again and thank Jeff Colwall and staff for allowing me to get a lot of work done at an affordable price.
I hired E.Y. Construction to replace a window in my master bathroom, install marble tile with a mosaic inlay on all walls, porcelain tile in the floor, a onyx river rock on the custom shower floor, and granite on the shower threshold and half wall. I hired Naser because all his references had nothing but good things to say about him.... Wow they were right. All the workers were very professional, neat, and paid attention to detail. The bathroom window and tile job looks stunning. I am confident it was done above standards and will last well beyond my lifetime.
I cannot describe how pleased my wife and I are with the work performed by Eric and Bob. What started out as a den remodeling job kept blossoming into other jobs including fence repairs, two bathroom updates, electrical rework, concrete porch and foundation parging, and lots of painting and moulding work. All in all, they were our go to contractor for many home repair jobs as we were getting the house ready to sell. They were always on time, did quality work, and always accommodated our schedules. I also want to note the thorough estimates, contracts, and revisions. They listened to our ideas and worked with us to complete some extensive renovations. You could not go wrong with selecting Notable Renovations for your home project!
Vintage Wood Floors and Stairs installed new railings in our house and I could not be happier with their professionalism and the finished product. Arnold was wonderful to work with throughout - he came to our house and gave an estimate and suggestions for the design, worked with us to do the project at a budget that we were comfortable with, and was responsive to questions in the planning process. They were able to do the installation just days after the initial consultation, and were great at communicating throughout the process to get my input (on the wood finish, etc.). The new railings beautifully complement the "style" of our home, and their craftsmanship and attention to detail is fantastic. Truly talented and courteous professionals.
Mauricio was awesome! Super responsive and easy to work with. He started the job on Saturday before the rain hit, came back to finish the work yesterday. Our front stoop and stairs look amazing, the railings are on there rock solid now too! If we need more stone/concrete work done - we'll definitely be giving him a call.
Learned about Curtis' company through work he did for a neighbor who was extremely satisfied with his work. They allowed us to see the work he'd done on their master bath and it looked great. We had our townhouse kitchen renovated by them. Curtis provided a very comprehensive estimate which detailed some items we hadn't considered such as daily clean-up, the payment schedule, and how receipts would be handled for materials purchases. His estimate came in at the middle of 4 estimates we received for tear-down of the original kitchen, new cabinet installation, tile floors and backsplash with some electrical and plumbing thrown in. He was able to accommodate an earlier start date when the cabinets we ordered were available earlier then expected by 2 weeks. He and his 2 assistants worked efficiently and more importantly they took care when doing the demo (and throughout the project) to protect the hallway floors and other areas of the house from dust, dirt and debris. They worked very efficiently and by the end of the 2nd day were starting on laying the tile floor. Cabinet installation went smoothly and he was kind enough to point out a couple items which we needed to report back to the cabinet makers regarding some bowing. Overall the project took approximately 9 business days from start to finish with a few small visits to finish up hardware, trim and reinstallation of the dishwasher once the counters and sink folks (separate company) finished their piece. His 2 assistants were equally pleasant and made us feel comfortable so we could ask questions as needed. We plan to use Curtis' company Oddjobs.pro again for upcoming bathroom renovations and some other work we need done.
Beautiful, handmade wood railings. Primed and painted. Also painted trim around front door. Re-grouted flagstone stairs and walkway and replaced four pieces of flagstone where four new handrail main posts were placed. Sealed all the flagstone. It looks fabulous. Friendly, skilled workers who did a great job. They cleaned up at the end of each day and all requests were met with "We'll take care of it." Highly recommended.
Repaired railing and handrail on rear of home. Responded very quickly to my inquiry. Was knowledgeable about the project, had fair pricing and listened to my concerns. Job was completed within a week. During first meeting, settled on work to be done, schedule and project. The night of the project, it rained so there were a few touch ups needed and they came back the very next day and finished the work. Highly recommended.
I hired Yosif to install attic stairs, create a walk-in closet and finish closets in my basement. Always friendly, timely, and professional, Yosif provided exceptional service. The work was completed in a short time and without issues. I would definitely hire him again!
I've used Fyvie contracting for two jobs and was very pleased with the work. For one job, he replaced the trim and flashing on my townhouse and installed and painted new shutters. The work was fairly extensive and took about a week, the amount of time Stephen had indicated in his quote. For the second job, he repaired some fencing and installed PVC railings on a covered porch. The work took a day, again as indicated in the quote. I've had other contractors compliment on the quality of Stephen's work. Fyvie Contracting's pricing is very reasonable. Unlike other contractors, he does not carry a lot of overhead; it's just Stephen and Hugo. I received quotes for the same work that were twice as high as Stephen's. I highly recommend Fyvie Contracting. You'll be pleased with the quality of the work and the price.
I am extremely pleased with all the work that JT Painting and Home Improvement did for me recently (June 2015). I hired JT to fix the structurally unsound stair rail and newel post for my single-family home and he did a terrific job with the repair - it is as good as new without going to the expense and hassle of replacing it entirely. He also repaired/replaced interior doors, installed a ceiling fan, repaired various drywall dings and holes, power washed my deck and siding, and other improvement projects. The work was excellent and for a very fair price. He is responsive, returns calls quickly, gives you a least-cost option for larger projects and delivers on schedule. I will not hesitate to contract with him again for my next home improvement projects. He and his crew take pride in their work and it shows. The dozen or so small and larger projects that he did for me all went without a hitch - one of the very best experiences I have had as a homeowner for 25 years! Thanks for a job very well done.
We had our kitchen remodeled from the ground up. I took about 4 weeks to complete including the added a powder room vanity install and paint after the job had started. Other than a tropical rainstorm and an earthquake interrupting the schedule a little everything was great. They installed wood floors, a tile backsplash and cabinets covering 3 walls and granite countertops and large island. Four years later it all looks great. Dave even returned a year after the job was completed to repair a casement opening where the lumber had split for no apparent reason. I have used Dave on other jobs as well and highly recommend the Home Doctor.
Michael installed outdoor stair railings for us at our new home. He provided very prompt service, at a fair price. He gave a warranty for the work. We expect to offer him more work in the future.
Brandon and his team did an excellent job on a highly customized railing project. He effectively outlined the specific options and approaches that were relevant to my situation and delivered high-quality work with great professionalism at a fair price. I would recommend Brandon for any stairway or railing project.
Mr. Ford welded up some broken iron railings for me that was causing some safety concerns. He did a great job fabricating new posts and installing them on-site. He was very easy to work with and was very professional. All work was done in a timely manner. I highly recommend him and would use him again.
I hired parz design for stairs baluster installation. Callie came and gave me a quote which was reasonable and we settled on a date. Her team were punctual and got the work done without much hassle. I was missing 3 balusters and one of the workers even went out of the way to pick them up from Lowes. He installed the 3 missing ones and they didn’t match because of the shine. I had to custom order those and Callie’s team came back in couple of weeks to replace those with no charge. I would definitely recommend parz design. They are 5 out of 5! Hire them!
Naula's team did great work in our home over the past two years. First, they installed oak, double-sided hand railings and bannisters on both stairwells of our home. A year later, they returned to refinish the parqueted floor in our kitchen and in our entry hallway. In both jobs they stuck to their schedules, were neat, cleaned up afterwards and finished on time. They lived up to all their promises. Their price was fair and a lower than their competition. I would not hesitate to use them again, if needed, or recommend them to other homeowners. G&B
Paul was wonderful to work with. We had several small projects that just sort of spiraled out of control for us. We are new home owners, and everything just started piling up: doors that needed to be squared and re-hung; cabinets we wanted installed; painting that kept being put off; stair railings that needed to be redone; and the list kept getting bigger! Paul took over and finished everything at a reasonable price with no hassle. Everything got done and my husband and I are headache free from all those little projects! Thank you Paul & Sweet Home Remodeling and Repair for getting our new home back in order!
