The design services provided by Lizzie Moore and the New Vision team were outstanding and professional in every way. Lizzie has spoken with me extensively about different options for my home including paint colors, furniture, layouts, and fabric choices. She even developed multiple floor plans of my entire home and has been very patient as I have made decisions. Lizzie's attention to design details and color coordination are unmatched! She is truly a skilled designer, not to mention is very fun to work with!

I'm very excited to be working with A Room To Love! Can't wait to see my new paint colors!
I called on Donna to help me renew my Mother's apartment, all the rooms in a senior independent residence, The Jefferson, in preparation for putting it on the market. She quickly made wall color, bath, kitchen, and floor decisions setting a new standard for renovations in this condominium in Arlington, Virginia!
Patty is a wonderful person who has an amazing eye for color and design. She is personable, calm, and thorough. I fully enjoyed working with her and would do so again should the opportunity arise.
The Homemade Design website has an easy to use interface that lets you take the design plan and customize styles and color palettes for the room. Then there is an easy to use product selection and matching feature to look at furniture, lamps, tables, curtains, accent pieces... that can be easily compared and matched to suit your style. - Heath
Loved working with Cecilia she just help me to pick all the furniture in my home and we changed some colors in walls also.
Danielle was great at translating my vision into reality. I wanted a very specific color for my walls and she mixed a few colors to create exactly what I was looking for. I'm very please with her work!
Very helpful for color selection, furniture placement, and suggestions for an easy refresh of the house.
I worked with Chloe on two projects in NYC: my personal office 5yrs ago and more recently an art exhibition. For my office space she chose furniture pieces that not only had great atheistic, but great functionality, but also tailored to my stature and default posture. I was hesitant to commit to a "set decor", but she created design and fluid palette where I could switch out certain accessories and colors without compromising the overall theme...which was clean neutrals with metallic and wooden accessories. Chloe's approach is incredibly thoughtful and artistic. I relocated to a co-working space and I look forward to her services again very soon. - Brooke
Natalie’s keen eye was invaluable as she helped us select color palettes and materials for both our kitchen and master bath remodels. We feel like she really listened and understood the style we were shooting for. We went with woodlook tile and a serene green in the master bath and achieved the spa resort feel we were hoping for. We are very happy with the finished products! We are in the process of trying to figure out which space to collaborate on next.
enjoyed working with Sharon for a lot of reasons. First off I found her very easy to work with. As soon as I started talking with her got a reassuring sense that she would be reliable and professional, and she was. She is highly organized and delivered concepts well within the agreed upon time frame. She responded quickly to emails and is an excellent communicator. Additionally I found that Sharon listened carefully to everything I said and wrote in emails and created her design concepts to address all the things that came up. Here efforts were clearly very personalized to the specific goals I was trying to achieve with the redesign of my medical office reception area. Her concepts were well thought out and demonstrate a talent for color, themes, and accessories that I simply could never have come up with on my own. She was also very responsive to feedback on her concepts, and adapted accordingly. But she was not a "yes-man" either. She stood her ground on things she felt were important. In summary I highly recommend Sharon for anyone considering design services. While I hired her for a small business, her skills easily translate to a home setting. I would definitely hire Sharon again.
Maria is a truly inspired designer. I love her work. Her vision is unfailingly crisp and fresh, and her use of color is unparalleled. She is collaborative and creative with a great sense of style. She helped us with our house remodel which focused on the creating a new kitchen, laundry room and additional den. She understood what we wanted, the style we liked, and gave us great ideas and suggestions to make our “new” home exactly like we wanted it. She is calm under pressure and gets the job done. She is a great design professional and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a designer in NOVA. She has great vision and attention to detail. I look forward to hiring her on our next phase!
Dominique helped us with our home decorating from A to Z ... she consulted with us for design options and color choices during the construction process and was in charge of decorating all the rooms for our entire home! She did an amazing job!!! She helped us with room arrangements, paint colors, furniture choices, purchasing, and all the finishing touches. She arranged for carpenters, electricians, etc. to support special projects. We love everything about the way our home turned out - we couldn't be happier!
Sophisticated. Comfortable. Beautiful. Unique. That’s the magic that Arsheen brought to my living room and I am incredibly grateful for her hard work and vision for making it happen. I was looking at my living room last spring and wondering, for what seemed liked the 1000th time whether it would ever look like a cohesive space. My husband and I had purchased our home at the end of 2013, and I’d always intended to get new furniture and make over the space. But between a wedding, pregnancy, new baby and our hectic work schedules (and life), the only thing I’d managed to do is get the downstairs painted. I finally accepted that I needed some help, and put out a call for designers on Thumbtack. I had several replies, but Arsheen’s pitch was the one that appealed to me due to her unique background (architect originally from India), portfolio with some updated midcentury modern touches and professional demeanor. When Arsheen and I got started, I filled out a questionnaire and she asked me at what I wanted. I told her something like: “I love midcentury modern..but not all of it..just Swedish midcentury modern. I need sleek lines. Plus Africa, India and Mexico to reflect my travels. And lots of colors—orange, blue, purple—but not too much color. And pictures of my family. And I hate sectionals but you can show me some anyway as long as they’re not made of leather. And I would like to have a space for our little one’s toys without said toys dominating the entire room.” (Note: I’m probably forgetting some of my many requests here. I have to be honest, had I heard that seemingly contradictory laundry list of requests from a client, I would have run for the hills! But that’s why I’m not an interior designer.) To her credit, Arsheen didn’t flinch. She delivered a couple of different floor plans that made great use the space, brought in (modern) midcentury flair and gave me the rich colors I was asking for without it being over the top. To my surprise, I quickly realized that the sectional she had proposed was a much better fit for the space and my current lifestyle. (Most importantly, it wasn’t leather!) After a number of iterations, we settled on a design that had neutral, solid colored accent chairs (dark blue) but brought in more colors (orange, more blues) without going over the top. The lines of sectional were midcentury-inspired, and she also brought those touches in with the legs of sectional, the chairs, and my unique coffee table. The rug and Roman shades also have Indian-inspired designs on them. It’s also worth mentioning the fixtures and related elements. While I was a little doubtful at first, she swapped out the original fan for a sleek and modern one. Honestly, it’s easily the fixture with the greatest benefit/cost ratio—it has completely opened up the room. She also recommended a new fireplace mantle and creating a new fireplace frame. I really couldn’t figure out what it was going to look like, even with the drawing, but I just went with it, and it looks amazing. It’s so much more modern than the original. Even my handyman was surprised at the difference those two additions made. (Note: Arsheen works with a wide variety of vendors, but is more than willing to work with your preferred vendors. If we had an issue with any vendor, Arsheen worked overtime to make sure it was corrected as soon as possible.) When the time came to put everything together, I was nervous. How would all of the great elements come together? Well, I need not have worried. Arsheen managed to pull together all of the things that I mentioned above (the new), plus photos and momentoes from my travels to Mexico, Ghana, India and other countries, and a gallery wall of family portraits. And it’s everything I could have wanted. It’s gorgeous and sophisticated, yet, I still feel comfortable flopping down in front of my newly wall-mounted television and doing my hair. My husband was impressed by the great ‘blend of form and function’ and my notoriously picky family and friends have raved about the design. Our little one has a toy trunk (courtesy of Target!) that keeps all of the toys organized and out of the way. And now I’m happy and proud to have people come to visit. Arsheen doesn’t just create rooms, she creates experiences for you to enjoy if you place your trust in her. I did, and I’m so glad I took the leap. Hire her—you won’t regret it.
Nkili provided exemplary service in coordinating my closet, my clothes and shopping on my behalf. She also created a presentation of colors to show me which ones go together. Whenever I have a question regarding an outfit, I can always ask Nkili.
