J. Portillo Construction did an excellent job sealing our concrete patio. They arrived on time each day and completed the project exactly when they said they would. Very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them.
Matt retiled my 3 bathrooms. He took out the old tiles, put in concrete backing (goes under the tiles, that way all the tiles are even and prevent tile movement and grout breaking), and added the tiles and new grout. Wow, he did an amazing job. His cost is excellent, hi estimates were under other competitors (and because he did such a good job, I actually gave him an additional $100 for doing such a great job). He works hard. He is very professional. He is kind and explains what he is going to do. I had no idea how many days it would even take, I assumed a week. He estimated, before he came, it would take 3 days, it actually took 4 and it was definitely worth the extra day. He made sure the work was completed and looked great, which it did. Matt is definitely going into my contact list and I will make sure friends and family know about him! Thank you Matt! Shawn
Words cannot express the services recently received by JDL Pressure Washing. Initially I was in need of 3 seperate service projects & pressure washing was one of them. I was on a strict time frame & needed a fast turn around. Not only was he able to work with my request, but he was able to manage & perform one of the other service request I had with my privacy fence (repair). Arrived on time, work completed same day, before & after pix, clean-up of work area, & reasonable pricing. I could not have made a better choice. I am very pleased! I will definitely recommend him to family, friends, & colleagues. Absolutely awesome!
Repair Garage ceiling Drywall. Darren (SJS -Small Job Services) and his helper did a great Job with the repairs to my ceiling. The cost was reasonable. I have hired him for other work and will use him in the future.
It was a pleasure to work with JP Landscaping! We needed help with yard cleanup in both front and back yards, fence repair and planting in flower beds. We were pleased with the results and our neighbors were surprised because they completed the work so fast.
The project was to build a large patio. GRG Masonry did an outstanding job creating a beautiful patio using my design and GRG's talented workers. The company had all the right equipment and completed the job in a timely manner and within the contract budget. I plan to use them again next year.
The work GRG did for me included power washing and re-motaring a stone patio and re-laying a flagstone walk. Raul and his crew did a terrific job at a reasonable price. Raul is knowledgeable and conscientious. He and his team are a bunch of very hard workers. Importantly, they did exactly what they said they would and when they said they would do it. I am very pleased.
I have used roofing contractors, siding contractors, hvac contractors, gutter contractors, and patio Concrete contractors in the past. They all have similar traits. They are late, they pull workers off my job to work elsewhere, and they don’t finish on time! Not with GAN Construction, they showed up on time and the same crew worked on the project from beginning to end. I contracted GAN to do three concrete jobs, 1) pour a concrete slab for a 12’x12’ shed on a sloping rear yard, 2) pour a concrete walkway from the front of the house to the drive way, and 3) cut a hole in the garage floor and pour a recessed pit to accommodate my lift. Because the concrete slab for the shed is on a slope, they actually poured in a concrete footer and built a cinder block foundation wall to support the slab. The garage job was a bit more complicated. The pit had to meet code to support my lift which is capable of supporting 7000 lbs. Their engineers determined the concrete will need to sit on 5 pillars (3-4 deep below backfill) and the concrete pit itself was built with rebar every 12 inches and wire mesh. The concrete is 12 inches thick! It is not going anywhere! The walk was a piece of cake so I thought. Because the old walk way has settled more than 7 inches in different spots, GAN decided to tie the walk was into the concrete steps with rebar ever 2 feet. The earth was compacted to reduce possible setting in the near future. Over all I am very pleased with the work GAN did. The crew was very professional, kept the work area clean and when they left, it was as if they were never there. I would highly recommend using GAN for your concrete projects! Dr. Al Wong
Awesome work power washing our neglected driveway and patio - it looks brand new!
Had Al do a small bathroom remodel/repair and couldn't be happier with the service. Not only did he come out quickly and give a reasonable price, but also worked with our hurried schedule, and came mostly weekends to finish the job on time. Sorry Thumbtack, its been good but Al is my go-to from now on.
Mark Jones Sr. and Mark Jones Jr. were both on site during the job - it's nice that the owners of the company take a personal interest in getting the job done right. We had our driveway repaved and our front walk reshaped and replaced with pavers. Both the driveway and the walk look fantastic. Very pleased with their service and the final product. I would recommend them!
Norlan and crew did a great job cleaning and refinishing my front patio. The work was done in a timely manner and the outcome was fantastic. Great to work with!
I contacted Steve about replacing a patio door at my residence. First off, Steve was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. He came out to my house to assess the project by taking measurements, discussing my options of patio doors, and the associated trim/brick moulding. He was very friendly and easy to talk too as well. The next day I received a email with a quote with several options varying in price. Steve was quick to respond to a few follow-up questions, like is the door argon filled or Low-E? After comparing his prices with other contractors and even home improvement/Lowes' installations, I decided his price was fair/reasonable. Steve and another worker installed my patio door in about a half day. He arrived when he said he would and the install went as planned. There were no additional "oh, we found this wrong and need to replace it, it'll cost an extra $300+". The install looks fantastic, door slides smoothly, and is balanced. Steve even offered to vacuum the carpet around the door after he finished. The price was as quoted (no additional costs) and my wife and I couldn't be happier with our new paito door. I will definitely be contacting Steve for future projects as I'm pleased with his work, prices, and character. Thanks again Steve!
I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.
Jeff and Sandy at Olde Port worked with me and the bank on a major remodel of our foreclosed house, we had almost everything under the sun renovated or replaced on this house (See list below). They started work the day after we closed and did not stop until the job was done and done to my satisfaction (which is a pretty hard achievement). Not only did they make quick work, they did everything right the first time and at a great price. They constantly communicated with me throughout this process and I always knew when they were going to be at my house. Their workers were polite, professional, and on-time; they even asked before using the restroom or going into another part of the house to check on things. Our house was built in 1984 and just about everthing including the water heater was from the 80s. We moved in the same day our roof was getting replaced and the workers didn't miss a beat, they still finished the entire roof in 1 day. Olde Port always answered my questions and did not try to up-sell me, they recommened and gave me the products I needed. They even handled our permits needed for the electrical and plumbing work. I would highly recommend this contractor for any job big or small. Major remodel - New roof New seamless gutters New skylight window Replaced all windows in the house with high energy efficient windows Concrete repairs including a new front step New trench drains Repaired trim around garage doors and painted garage doors New doors Landscaping - Removed trees away from house Plumbing - new water heater, fixed toilet leaks Electrical - repaired and replaced light fixtures, switches and outlets
Walt was fantastic!!! He sent pictures along the way if all of his work, being that we were not living in our home! He went well and beyond to fix extra things he saw that needed attention! I would hire again in a minute for any other needs for our home! Can't say enough!! Way to go Walt!
Frank and his crew did an outstanding job for us. They replaced a sidewalk from our drive way to our front steps and fixed a railing for the front steps but most importantly they gave us a new stamped concrete patio out back that is huge and beautiful. They were great to work with and very attentive. Could not be happier. Great service, work and price. Would definitely recommend F&C Enterprises, Inc. In fact we have already to friends, family and neighbors. I believe several have already called him about their projects.
We received outstanding work from Chris Harvey who performed as a General Contractor to reconfigure the backyard of my townhouse. This effort required building a three foot high cinder block wall at the end of my property, then leveling the yard which had a severe slope by back filling from the existing cement patio to the wall. He built a slate sidewalk from the patio to the wall, covered the patio in slate and built slate steps through the wall out to the walking path behind the wall. Chris had a cedar fence with gate built around the yard and then landscaped the yard with top soil, sod, rock, and plantings. It was done exactly as I asked and in a very timely manner with only interruptions for weather and two visits by Miss Utility. Chris is very sociable and easy to work with. He was present for each sub contractor as they started and completed their work. I highly recommend Chris Harvey Landscaping.
Gustavo has made a few renovations in my house. As soon as we moved in, he renovated the two bathrooms. The job was clean, the final product was great and best of all it was made on time. After that, he changed the floor of the main entrance of the house and built a 14'x17' concrete patio in the back yard, including the removal of a window and the installation of a French door to the patio. A great addition to the house!! Home Beautiful Renovations & Repairs did wonderful jobs in our home. And without a doubt I will recommend them.
A windstorm blew down part of our brick patio wall. We knew we would face extra pressure from our HOA to make sure the repair matched the style and color of the walls that still remained. Kuldar was understanding and very helpful. He explained our options and then worked hard to find bricks, arrange them, and clean the wall in a way that made the new wall match the pre-existing structure as much as possible. We were out-of-state, but he communicated well and sent us updated pictures throughout the project. We appreciate his help and recommend him to anyone needing help with a similar project.
We recently had a complete kitchen remodel and are very happy with the results. We hired Dennis Gillooly of Trimline Construction as the general contractor. We were on a very tight budget and after pricing the options from a local cabinet supplier, Dennis suggested we look at using Ready to Assemble cabinets instead. He explained the various options and helped us with the design, layout, and ordering of these cabinets from an east coast supplier. This saved us more than 50% vs the original quoted cost from the local supplier! We got really nice cabinets at a fraction of the cost. Dennis put these cabinets together, installed them, helped us pick the perfect handles, installed those as well, and completed all the trim work to make the finished job look wonderful. We love our new kitchen it looks great! We also previously used Dennis Gillooly to finish our 1,200 sq foot basement. Dennis took care of managing everything including the design, framing, drywall, a full bathroom, kitchenette/bar area, a ton of storage closets including a cedar closet and custom shelving, the big recreation room, enclosed office space, new French doors, cutting in new windows in our concrete walls, and he personally installed 1,200 sq feet of engineered wood flooring throughout. We painted the basement ourselves in order to save money and found Dennis very willing to work with us to make such a large project both affordable but also exactly what we wanted.
