I started researching for a day of coordinator late in the wedding reception planning for my daughter when I realized it had become more than I could deal with! One phone call with Shovana later and I knew we were in the right hands! I'm now looking forward to this last month until the event knowing everything will be handled down to the smallest detail. She is detail oriented and organized!

I am so delighted & happy to share my experiences with Extravagant Affairs Catering and Decor. Extravagant Affairs is an absolutely one-stop shop! Shovana is a wonderful person First, but she is so kind, and very considerate of the organizational aspects of a large or small event like we had. I literally was able to sit and let her do it all because she was able to keep the bridal shower smooth, and on time. I am blessed to also have her as our daughter's Bridal consultant too. I cannot explain all the work, and detail that she has helped us with. The catered meals were delicious, and colorful. I could smell the fresh salads from the yard, when they were put on the serving tables. The staff was courteous, and conscientious of the work, and mannerism throughout the whole event. The uniforms were clean, and they kept a clean area as well. With Covid surrounding us - Extravagant Affairs and staff was very well versed in the guidelines, and kept our event running without any issues, or lack of any supplies. Shovana and company is truly an Angel, and she will be able to "know" when you're worried about something..She will naturally put herself in your shoes, and try her best to make the job go smooth as possible. So now that I graduated from the mom's club of "Bridal Showers," the biggest event will be in May. I am not worried because I know Shovana will be there to calm my nerves, and bring me tissues too. I hope that anyone who is looking for a catering company will read my review, and give Shovana a call. From the balloons & flowers, to the pellets of dry ice for the drinks - she has your back. Thank you for reading my review. And the best to all.Update 6/24/2021:ExtraordinaryAffairs Catering and Events were beyond what I could hope for. Shovana (the EO) of the Extraordinary Affairs & Catering, is so well experienced in event planning, and I was so BLESSED she knew what had to be done on our daughters wedding day.We used her for our daughters' Bridal Shower, and her impeccable service helped me to relax and mingle among our guests. I knew I needed her for the big day, and I was right. I am so happy and grateful for her continued professional services she helped us with. She was on top of the situations that came out of the blue. Wedding days are so stressful, and I can tell you I was very happy to have a "venue, and the wonderful chef for that venue." But an emergency occurred, and our precious venue coordinator was unavailable. Enter Shovana !Thank God Shovana knew what to do. She and her team took control of the venue with staff, and made the evening pass with flying colors. As I was trying to keep track of our guest hospitality and courtesies, We literally had a group of high schoolers try to enter our reception. Shovana quickly resolved the uninvited guest issues. I determined quickly She has a fearless professional manner that will complete any task given to her. I can assure you that after 500 weddings, you will not be disappointed with her and her team. I will continue to use them, and I will always be grateful for her expertise and calming words. I can go on and on about her wonderful work, and her fantastic team, But It would be better if you were to just give them a call. Her staff is well versedin foods and cultures, and her ability to know the customs is paramount for weddings. You will not be lost in your event because she will have everything written down, and reminders to boot. She truly is a gem. Well the best of Luck to everyone reading this, and I hope you give them a call for your event. She truly loves what she does, and her vision is shown in the art of her work. Her accoladesare many, and with hundreds of happy customers, you cannot lose.

Shovana is amazing! We had to our plan our wedding and postpone 3x due to the pandemic and shovana was so accommodating and understanding. Her involvement in the wedding planning made it run more smoothly and her advice on how to navigate everything was super helpful. She was extremely informative and made sure to cover all of our requests! Having her on your wedding team made me and my husband feel more supported as she was involved in every step. Our wedding day was amazing her staff was exceptional! Extravagant always stepped up and had a back plan up. I highly recommend them and will be using them again for any future event.

    No. Our prices and packages vary.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Our typical process with a client is taking a brief event, or rental in-take (i,e, obtaining a few important questions to assist us, with later assisting the client). 2. Scheduling a Free 30 minute venue site walk-through, to obtain overall space, decoration and staging desires from the client (taking notes and composing a floor plan (including detailed schematics and diagrams) for draping, tent, dance floor, etc.. 3.Preparing a quote for client to review and consider 4. E-Contract Submission/signage and initial deposit or full payment (depending on event date) 5. Scheduled Webex Client Overview Meeting (1) week prior to the event (draw-a-line in the sand meeting), to ensure that we've captured everything and make any final changes and modifications to the diagram/or schematic, prior to the EA team implementing the project setup, or delivery.
