Be certain your contractor is professional and patient. Often the signing agent is the only face a customer sees in the loan process, and it is equally important for the lender and their customer to feel confident and comfortable with the individual with whom they will spend anywhere from 15 minutes to 60 minutes reviewing documents. The signing agent needs to display knowledge and understanding of the loan process, but remain objective. Yet, it is equally important that the customer feel a certain level of comfort with the signing agent as an individual. Being uncommunicative or impatient can ruin the process for all parties.
