Introduction: I am the founder and speech-language pathologist of small, yet thriving, practice who specializes in evaluating and treating a broad variety of speech and language disorders. With almost 15 years of experience, I am regarded as a dedicated and highly-skilled clinician. My reputation has enabled me to build my practice primarily from word of mouth referrals by satisfied families and area physicians. I incorporate innovative treatment approaches and ensure that every child receives services that are tailor-made to effectively meet their individual needs. I strongly believe that therapy should be both fun and rewarding. My child-centered, play-based treatment methods have earned me the reputation of being a dynamic, loving and creative therapist. The rapport I establish with my clients and their families is considered to be unsurpassed. After earning my post-graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Virginia in 2001, I have been dedicated to maintaining my certification through the American Speech and Hearing Association by attending hundreds of continuing education hours. I have effectively treated a wide variety of communication disorders including Apraxia of speech, severe food aversions, oral-motor weakness, poor oral tone and motor planning, stuttering (dysfluent speech), articulation disorders, expressive and receptive language delays and auditory processing difficulties. My caseload has included children whose disabilities include (though not limited to) autism, down syndrome, failure to thrive, cerebral palsy, prematurity, feeding disorders and selective mutism. I proudly support my families by providing quality advocacy services, maintain close contact with educators, physicians and other specialists to ensure that each client is well-supported and receive consistent carry-over of their individualized objectives.
