Introduction: We believe in producing great food for special events. Many restaurants and catering companies see catering as a great revenue stream with low expectations. We take great pride in our work whether its a multi-course dinner or a backyard get together. The best thing about starting our own business has been the ability to directly interact with clients. Its also refreshing to be able to purchase the best ingredients and fully utilize our creativity.

Our catering experience was outstanding with The Wandering Chef. They catered our girls' birthday party. The flavors are what you would expect from a fine restaurant, and the service was even better. Gorgeous and delicious cakes, even a gluten free one. And they use real ingredients! Their to-go meals are excellent as well. It's fine dining in your own home without the clean up of cooking a meal. Everything we have tried tastes so good. It's so easy to heat up. You need The Wandering Chef in your life!

We could not have asked for a better experience. Wes (The Wandering Chef) was exceptional. The menu, food, and service were superb. He was totally prepared, personable, and delivered a memorable experience. We'll look no further for a Chef at our next engagement.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My business partner and I read a lot to stay current. The amount of info about food and restaurants on social media is immense so that's helpful. And eating out counts as research!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My grandfather loved to cook. I spent a summer with him when I was 12 and never wanted to do anything else.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask if they cook their food. A lot of people who don't truly understand this business think purchasing prepared foods and serving them is "cooking". It is not.
