- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I must assess each situation's needs separately. Chatting sessions for Certified Life Coaching is done by time. Advocacy and translations are done by job. No matter the task, I will not do any chargeable work without the client's agreement on my prices. I encourage word of mouth advertising; therefore, prices can be negotiable for client referrals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I am always looking to update and stay present on the most modern treatment in popularity with professionals. Anything to help my clients so I must research constantly to know where resources of solutions are located.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a traumatic work injury that landed me in a wheelchair and bed ridden for 9 years. My Spanish speaking community came to check on me and visited. They started to ask for favors: phone calls, making appointments, ride with them to an office to translate and they would help me with my physical challenges. After a while I started making a log of resources because some of the same issues kept coming up and sometimes if I had built a relationship with the resource of solution a phone call is all I needed to do because of our connection with each other. So, I started focusing on the things I could do and not what my body and mind could no longer do. Now, I am 8 years out of the wheelchair while spending 9 years in it. I am currently on my Masters level of professional counseling thus the decision to activate my certifications obtained throughout my academia. Plus, I am more in control of my schedule and time so I can take care of myself and my family. As long as all that is in order then I am able to help another and it is so gratifying that I stay very happy and grateful and it shows.
