FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge an hourly rate which is determined by the length of the session (most are 45 minutes to an hour). When a client purchases multiple sessions they will receive a discount. I also do small group training and charge a little more per session, but then 2 or more clients can split the cost. If a client lives further away I do charge for travel but it generally isn't too much more. I'll be happy to explain all pricing in an email or over the telephone.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I sit down with a client and discuss their goals and what they wish to accomplish with their sessions. I also discuss their past exercise experience, their likes and dislikes in regards to working out. We put together a workable plan that is both enjoyable and beneficial in helping the client reach their goals. If the client has weight loss goals I will take their measurements, weight and body fat if they desire to determine their starting point.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to learn about new programs and research in the industry. I have been certified with ACE since 1995. I have a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Master's degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. I have worked with a wide variety of clients from overweight and deconditioned people as well as older adults with multiple limitations. I have also worked with clients in good physical condition that want to take it to the next level.
