Introduction: as a public officer appointed by the Governor of Virginia, my primary duty is to help prevent fraud by witnessing the signing of documents and verifying their authenticity; in addition my other tasks are to administer oaths, verify signatures, take and prepare affidavits, depositions and other documents according to set content standards; sign prepared documents and affix stamps and seals on them in a bid to provide approval. I have a law background and court experience those are tools that help me to better serve the community first of all I am a mature individual with the passion to help others and I know the value of working well even under pressure in order to perform a community service; the exchange I usually have with my client while on duty make me feel that I am impacting their life; even thought the work of a notary public can become stressful since there is a lot of moral and legal responsibility on our shoulders, any mistake in determining the validity of a document or a client can lead to legal repercussions
