Land Design did an exceptional job. Their pricing was competitive. They installed 44 leyand cypress trees and I could not be any more pleased with their professionalism and the finished product. If you ever need a landscaper John Land is the person to call. You will not be disappointed. (If I could give him 10 stars I would.)Mar 9, 2017Verified
John and his team did a fantastic job on our patio and landscaping. From beginning to end John and his company were great partners in completing this for our family. From turning my vision into reality John was involved in every step of the process. He was open to our opinions and thoughts and supplemented them with his own which made the project just turn out breathtaking. He treated my family as his own and that was icing on the cake. His team was punctual, clean, organized and thorough even with follow up. Truly spectacular.Jun 26, 2015Verified
We waited for 8 weeks for a follow up contact. When we were finally scheduled, the vendor no showed and claimed he didn't have our contact information to let us know that he was running behind.Jul 25, 2014VerifiedJohn L.'s reply
The customer's review is correct, I was delayed in getting back to them, and delayed for our appointment without contact info readily available. I tried to re-schedule with apologies, but the customer declined.
I had a wonderful experience with Land Designs. They were able to rush some work to get it done before a party deadline. They work was clean and they went the extra mile just to be helpful. It was greatly appreciated.Jun 28, 2014Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Since every project is somewhat different, there is no standard pricing that I adhere to.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?A typical process for new customers would first include an initial consultation on the property to explore the goals and visions, as well as budget, of the client and merge those into options for achieving the end result. The property will be measured at that time or soon after, depending on the project, and some type of design will be worked out. A larger project will have a rough draft of a design and a price range associated with it presented to the customer. Further fine-tuning will follow until a final proposal and design are achieved. Smaller projects may be finalize more easily, with less fine tuning needed before a final proposal is given. Scheduling is discussed, and once a contract is signed, a deposit is usually collected and the work is scheduled.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a total of 36 years experience in the landscape industry, incorporating almost all aspects of design, construction and maintenance in various degrees. I have an AAS degree in General Horticulture, and I have certifications in the following designations: Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute (ICPI) Certified Paver Installation National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) Segmented Retaining Wall (SRW) Installation Certification
