FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When I was working full-time, my fee was $100/hour. Now that I am choosing clients carefully and in a state of semi-retirement, I charge $50/hour and try to have more fun.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get some information up front about the scope of the project and what the client's past experience with writers has been. Then we have a phone conversation of up to an hour in which we discuss the timing, budget and expected outcomes. I like to ask a lot of questions and am more than willling to provide samples and references at that time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in English as well as 30+ years of on-the-job experience. I teach writing in corporate settings (as well as in creative settings) and am a certified ESL instructor. I am also a certified focus group facilitator.
