I was nervous starting lessons as an adult but she was amazingly professional and understanding. She worked with me at my own pace and made me feel comfortable playing. She knows the guitar and started from the very basics because that’s what I needed. Quality lesson for an unbelievable price. Looking forward to the next lesson.

Rachel is an awesome teacher. Her lessons were fun, simple and taught me so much without having to do all the boring scales and what not. I highly reccomend Melody Makers. Its why I was able to join a band and its made one of my favorite hobbies that much better.

My daughter, age 11, has been taking lessons from Rachel for about 4 months. We have seen a huge improvement in her skills. She really likes how the lessons are fun and that she gets to pick some of the songs she learns to play. As a mom, I really appreciate Rachel's flexibility with my schedule. I would recommend her to anyone interested in learning guitar.

My daughter takes guitarlessons once a week from Rachel. Rachel offers a great atmosphere for enjoying music and learning to play the guitar. She makes it fun and uses alot of songs that are current. My daughter practices at home all the time and she talks about how much she loves taking lessons from Rachel! What more can a mom ask for? I highly recommend.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
-30 min private lessons are $35 each
-60 min private lessons are $50 each
-60 min group lessons are $25 each (per student)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My musical education began as soon as I was born. My father is musician and performer Michael Johnathon, host and creator of the show "WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour". Growing up music was a part of every day life for me: I sat in the recording studio after school, watching and listening while I worked on homework. During the summers I was a volunteer crew member for WoodSongs, helping with soundcheck and assisting the various musical guests. I started teaching guitar right out of highschool, and haven't looked back! I'm very thankful that music got to be such a big part of my childhood, and now (through teaching) can continue to be a part of my adult life!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have taught students from all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you're 50+ year old woman looking to cross a lifelong dream off your bucket list, or a 4 year old who can't read yet, I will help you learn in whatever way is best suited to you.
