Pat did an adorable Christmas photo shoot of my son and dog for our Christmas card this year. I couldn't believe how amazing his work was! I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to capture their true personalities. I am getting married in May and have already asked him to shoot my wedding portraits, ceremony and reception. :)

I am owner of a local DJ/sound company in Hampton Roads. Whenever an engaged couple asks me if I know of anyone who could photograph their wedding, I always tell them about Mobilens. They do a great job.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The profits from the Mobilens business are reinvested in the business. We use some unusual equipment that allows us to have an edge in our photographic work and are contstantly looking at developing technologies and trends.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The more that you consider and communicate what you expect, the better the results will be. If you are looking for outdoor portraits, avoid settingup a photo shoot in the mid day sun. Early morning or later afternoon sun is best as those times assure softer lighting and better preservation of details in photographic highlights. For weddings, consider the angles and working distance that your photographer will work within and if he or she will have the correct vantage points for the critically important shots of the ceremony. To further ensure that important shots are not missed, It is also important that guests with cameras and the photographer work in harmony and that guests yield to the photographer to ensure the photographer's unobstructed access to the ceremony. A good photographer will proactively address this with the bride and groom prior to the event.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

There are a tremendous number of variables in professional photography. Just anyone with a cell phone camera or even a good versatile camer with various lenses cannot do justice to all aspests of a wedding. A professional photographer will always make certain that the exposures are correct, that colors are balanced in the prints and that all of the requisite shots are taken. A professional will avoid motion blur and will be certain that photographs are properly framed and/or cropped. A professional photographer will be certain to backup digital data and will have additional flash units, cameras and lenses that are suited for the wide range of shots encountered in a typical wedding. You will get a superior result by employing a professional photographer.
