Military: stay away! Refused to honor military clause/SCRA at moveout. Extortion of hundreds from security deposit after move out, all following a pre-move out walk through where property was noted by "trained realtor" to be in good and acceptable condition. They will tell you one thing and then completely backtrack, and there's nothing you can do about it because they hold your security deposit and have catch-alls in the contract. These people will not do the right thing by you, will dodge phone calls and emails for longest amount of time possible, and will never acknowledge that they made a mistake. Repairs to fence, in the midst of multiple neighborhood break-ins, took MONTHS.
F.D. Management's reply
FD Management sincerely regrets any instance where a customer is unsatisfied, as we strive to provide the best service. More importantly, we honor and respect our servicemembers and always abide by the Servicemember Civil Relief Act (SCRA). To put it bluntly, any assertion that we have not complied with the SCRA or failed to honor our servicemembers’ sacrifices is patently incorrect. We also honor and protect our customers’ confidentiality. Because of our commitment to customer confidentiality and our adherence to Virginia Code Section 55-248.9:1, which generally prohibits the release of tenant information, we cannot and will not reveal information in tenant records. Even when we can provide specific dates and documents to defend our reputation against unmeritorious, incorrect, or false complaints, as we could in this instance, we refuse to compromise our commitment to confidentiality. Further, we go above and beyond all requirements regarding security deposits. We perform walk-through inspections at both move-in and move-out, and strongly recommend that the tenant be present for both. Any portion of a property not returned to its original condition (less reasonable wear and tear) is photographed and documented. Whenever possible, tenants are given the opportunity to remedy any such damages prior us undertaking repair efforts. Photographs and documentation of damage are provided to the tenant, along with all invoices for repairs. To minimize the cost to tenants, we utilize our long-standing relationships with local contractors to negotiate repair expenses. We also strive to minimize any delays in repairs during a tenancy. But, sometimes issues outside of our control, such as weather, contractor availability, and delays in insurance claims, can result in a delay, despite our best efforts. In its history, FD Management has certainly made mistakes – no business could reasonably claim otherwise. However, we strive to remedy our mistakes, and to learn from them, so that we can constantly improve our customer service. It is our commitment to constant improvement that sets us apart from our competitors.

We lived in one of their properties for a yr and they had such a turn over rate on the people who worked there. We had a new point of contact every couple of months. We were without AC for a month when we first moved in and they demanded they we still pay rent even though they never came and fixed anything they gave us a portable AC unit to use. They also knew we had a newborn and a 4 yr old. We moved in without any blinds so we brought our own blinds and when we moved out they charged us for the blinds. They will charge you for damages that you report on your move in date once you move out. If you have a family and you need somewhere reliable to live. Dont rent from this company.

They are the worst management company. They sell your personal information. They dont return phone calls. They lose your payments all the time. Then they find them months after. I think the property manager is pocketing the payments. Also she is the biggest liar Ive ever met. Rude all the time. I started my lease 2/18 was not able to move in till 3/18 because they owed the utility companies so much money they refused to turn the power and water on at the property. FD management is a big scamming joke. Be really careful when doing business they will take you for everything you have. Also if you work with sensitive information if in not safe at all in your home the property manager lets herself in without notice. Also other random people with a key(owners) etc... I have footage on my SELF installed camera and alarm system of her and others entering and leaving when Im away. They are thieves and frauds. Dont trust them you will learn a very hard lesson.
