FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $65 to diagnose the problem that you're having with your appliance, that does not fix your appliance, it's for the time that I spend working on your appliance if you decide that it is uneconomical to go with a repair. My labor rates are between $135 and $165 depending on the job. example 1 : A 10 year old washing machine with a bad bearing the part cost $800 and the labor is $165 or $965, mostly likely you would decline the repair and just pay the $65 diagnose fee. example 2: A basic dryer with a broken belt, part $25 and labor $135 or $160. I also give a 10% discount on the labor to military and senior citizens. All repairs come with a 90 day warranty on parts and labor.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to contact my customers as soon as they contact me to get more amplifying information on what kind of issue they are having with there appliance and a 30 minute call ahead just to let them know I'm headed their way to diagnose their appliance problem.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was factory trained by Sears for 13 years as a Sears repair technician, and as a independent business owner I continue to take factory classes when available.
