This is my first time using this app and I just want to say I’m very satisfied with the service I received. I called one morning when I got off of work and explained my toilet was leaking downstairs and I got an appointment a couple hours later. Now at first I thought he was coming to assess the issue and then come back to do the repairs but the issue was resolved the same day. He even steered me in the right direction to get the ceiling fixed from where it leaked. Thank you so much!

Three outlets on the same wall decided to quit working out of the blue. Thanks goodness Chaz was available when I turned to Thumbtack the second time. The first time Thumbtack said “sorry this pro can’t do your job” so he wasn’t even on our radar. We chose hastily the first time, did not pick the right “pro.” $550 dollars and 3 hours later, the problem remained. Entered Chaz and Mac on the second day. Chaz was great with communication from start to finish, calling us for info on the issue, updating us when he was running a little late from a previous job. Chaz and Mac arrived and got right to work, systematically testing outlets, verifying and isolating the problematic circuit breaker. It was a baffling issue, not easy or quick to troubleshoot. But instead of guessing and replacing parts that didn’t need to be replaced, they kept testing and tracking down the problem until they could identify the root cause: lose wires in two different outlets, one of which was NOT even part of the original three outlets that quit. This outlet continued to work fine but it was on the same circuit breaker as the other three, messing things up. This is my understanding, I’m not an electrician, but now I have found a good one, someone I can turn to for future electrical needs. On top of that, he charged less than half the amount the first contractor did. Chaz is the man! Thank you, Family Home Repairs. Keep up the good work!
