Introduction: In my opinion a bartender will have to do a lot more than just pour drinks, they’ll have to look the part, provide excellent customer service, know everything about the drinks that are popular at that bar, keep the bar organized, and setup to the needs of that customer.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Corporate event pricing is different due to the volume of people. Also, events that are not in the Richmond area will consist of a travel fee.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes, I attend refresher classes and research different drinks to make sure I'm knowledgeable.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I decided that I was interested in mixology after my mom hosted my martini party. My bartender for the event was very polite, friendly, and engaged with my guest. My bartender provided more information about mixology and I was interested to learn more. My first day of bartending school was amazing and insistently I knew I would love this line of work. I love engaging with different people because I'm able to learn and network. Also, I love having the opportunity to make people happy. Through mixology I'm able to connect with my clients and it's an amazing experience.
