FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am told that my rates are not as high as they should be, but I have several clients in the same building, for instance, and it requires less travel time for me, so when this happens, I can charge everyone less. Additionally, if a new client refers me to a friend or colleague and I am hired, I offer them a credit for the referral.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I do is arrange a complimentary home visit. I think it's imperative that the client, as well their pets I would be responsible for, feel comfortable with me, and likewise. I also offer a list of references for the potential new client to contact. All of my clients have given me permission to use them for reference purposes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I volunteer at a local shelter, and I also clicker train my dog. I am certified in animal CPR and am able to administer medications, as well. Additionally, I am trained in the eCollar behavior modification system for dogs and utilize it daily with a dog I visit daily.
