About
I run a robust and creative voice teaching studio online and in locations in Richmond Virginia and in the Shenandoah Valley out of Waynesboro.
If you've lost your speaking or singing voice, or you want to get ready for an audition, I'm your teacher! I transform people with injured or painful voices into full, healthy singers and speakers.
Bring power to your voice, learn to take fuller breaths, and recover from covid-related voice loss or other vocal injuries. As we continue to work with your jazz, rock, or pop songs, we'll have you singing with style like you never lost any range at all.
Or are do you need help bringing fullness to your voice or managing performance nerves as you or your child preps for an audition? I can help you interpret the song, learn how to support your voice, work on belting, or bringing emotion into your sound, both for the audition and throughout performance prep.
Get in touch today to schedule a free consultation! This is a BIPOC, LGBTQ+, & neurodivergent-friendly voice studio.

I learned and experienced more about my vocal chords in the 30 minute lesson than I ever had. Feeling them engage and vibrate was pretty cool.

Rachel is the best! She's able to meet you on your level and provide an approach tailored to what you are looking for. I like to understand everything from a technical perspective so she explains things digging down into the anatomy and physiology making it easier for me to feel exactly what I'm doing with my voice. My voice has come a long way!

Myself and both my twins worked on our voices with Rachel over the years. She is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and patient teacher with a great sense of community.
Rachel Austin Voice's reply
Thank you, Amanda! It's always been a pleasure hearing you all sing. I love a family that sings! <3

Rachel Austin has been a huge help on my singing journey. I started virtual lessons with her over two years ago, since then my voice has gotten so much stronger and healthier. Together we have worked on technique, style, acting within songs and sight reading. Rachel is a very friendly, engaging and encouraging teacher, making sure her students are given the tools and support to reach their goals.
