FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I spent 6 months in Argentina developing fluency in the language. I previously taught Spanish to students in Kindergarten through third grade for one and half years. I then taught students in ninth and tenth grade for two years. I also tutored high school students to prepare them for entering a new grade level of Spanish in a private school environment. I recently completed my Master's thesis on the value of modern languages in Classical Christian Education. I have had the privilege of being mentored by other skilled and creative language teachers. I hope to pass my love of languages on to my students as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After college, I applied for a teaching position at Faith Christian School. Since then, I have had many opportunities to develop my skills in teaching and increased my love for the Spanish language. I have been able to network with parents needing tutoring services for their children, both to prepare them to enter a new grade level or just to provide additional study or review guidance for assessments.
