FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have never charged before and would need some advise on how to do this. In the state of Virginia you can charge up to $5./document; for an electronic or mobile notary you can charge up to $25/document along with travel and supplies.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Psychology, and I do know about the HIPPA law as it pertains to privacy rites for all individuals. I am also aware of the Sarbanes Oxley law pertaining to large corporations/enterprises/medical facilities/faith based community outreach, etc.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I retired at age 55 to care for an ailing husband. I decided to go back to school (University of Phoenix Online) to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Now I am 63 and am unemployed. The market is very tough as I am up against fierce competition. I don't have an interested in returning to school to get a certification as time is not a strongpoint when you have bills. So I decided to become a notary so that I am able to work at home and travel without the stress of dealing in a competitive market.
