FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't price my work based on the length of the shoot, nor do I keep count of how many photos I take. I don't use photography as a primary income source. I do it because I love doing it and am always chasing that next great photo. My clients will always receive a copy of the photos we take during our shoot, and in addition to that, they will also be able to select a number of photos to be edited and processed. My fee is typically based on the number of edited photos my clients are looking for, as I'm quite meticulous when it comes to editing and bringing out the best in each photo, and it ends up taking a sizable amount of time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to touch base with a customer and get an idea of what they're looking for. I will always have ideas spinning in my mind about what and how to shoot to get what my customer wants, but I always like to get input as well, because ultimately, it is the customers' photos so I want to ensure they get what they want out of the shoot. During the shoot, customers will find that I'm very personable and friendly, but I also will provide direction where and when needed. A photo shoot can sometimes be nerve wracking, and I will always do my best to keep the experience casual without talking your ear off. I started out as a nature photographer, so I am heavily inclined and highly adept at working with natural lighting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a self-taught photographer with no formal training. I simply have a great eye and a great drive to produce the best images possible.
