- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Contracts are based on an hourly rate or a fixed-fee amount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial free consultant meeting to learn the parameters of the project and determine the scope of work required. Next is fee proposal/negotiation and contract agreement. This is followed by site investigation/survey. Design of a concept plan and architectural services that are required. Periodic meetings and progress documents to ensure design is per customer expectations. Coordination with local officials and /or customer's contractor(s) or bidding if required. Construction oversight and final closeout.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an architectural degree from the University of Virginia and a Virginia architect license since 1996. I have 30 years of architectural experience in many types of design and construction.
