Last summer I hired Strive75 to replace bathroom flooring. I spoke to Teddy on Tuesday and he was scheduled to come on Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning he texted and asked if we could reschedule for Friday. I agreed but again he cancelled. He said he had his kids and couldn’t make it. He also asked for $100 deposit so he could take his kids somewhere. I’m a sucker for kids so I sent Cashapp of $100 and he was supposed to come on Sunday. He did not make it until Monday to begin the work. By Wednesday, he brought in a friend to finish the job. The man, Cederic, seemed to know what he was doing but he was very slow and the floor was still not completed by Friday! He said I needed more quarter rounds and went to Home Depot. He called and asked if I would cashapp money to pay for materials. I sent him $50 and asked him to Cashapp me the change. He returned and finished the job that night. I forgot my change and called and asked him to return my change. He never did. I later found out that it was less than $20 so he kept $30 of my money! I told Teddy, the owner, but never got my money back. I paid him the balance of the agreed upon price minus the $100 deposit. A couple of weeks ago Teddy asked if I had any work he could help with. I desperately needed my locks changed and shelves installed in my shed. It seemed like a simple job so I told him what I needed to be done. He asked for a deposit to “secure my place on his schedule.” I told him that after his last job I would not be giving him a deposit. I found someone else to do the job. I’m sure Strive75 does some things well, but definitely not flooring or sticking to a schedule.
