I am in the preliminary stages of renting out my home for the first time. As a novice to the rental property game, I was apprehensive and very unsure about how to market the property, find tenants, set a fair price, and just about everything else that comes along with such a venture. I am so glad to have found Jeff Babb. He is a no nonsense go getter that respects the homeowners property and wants nothing but the best for both the property owners and their tenants. When I decided to put my house up for rent, I went through the bidding site, Thumbtack, to get a couple hits from local property management companies in my area. I got a couple messages and eventually narrowed it down to 3 companies. One never replied after I tried to setup an appointment to have them inspect the property (they eventually replied again several months later, but that was well past too late). Another was a nationwide company you've probably heard of, and getting a quote and out to do an inspection went fine. But, it felt very impersonal.Which brings us to the Babbs. They were, and have been, as responsive as to be hoped for. When they came out to the property, they were very friendly and answered all the questions I had. After I decided to go with them, they had a family ready to move-in within about a month--which was sooner than I was ready for myself. Since then, things have been relatively smooth. Any issues with the house got to me quickly and were handled promptly once I gave the okay. Around the 6 month mark, they visited the property, took photos of the inside and out, and sent them to me as an update on how the house was doing. After an extremely messy and frustrating experience with a cowboy Management company, I searched reviews in the hopes that I could find someone to manage our Chesapeake property. We are currently in VA, so not being able to meet face-to-face with prospective companies was causing me more than a little anxiety. When Jeff called, it was like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. He performed the walk-out inspection with the previous tenants, repaired the shoddy workmanship left by the previous company, and got the house rented. ALL IN TWO WEEKS!!!! Seriously. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Prices are never more than 10% of the rental price. We generally charge a flat fee. We never want a homeowner to lose money on a transaction - if there is a specific circumstance please let us know and we will do our best to serve YOU!

We don't only get to know your home, we get to know the tenants who live there. But it all starts with a conversation to get a feel for one another.
