FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Sliding scales for low income. Honor system. I'm a solo mom, so I know how hard it can be to make ends meet and get the help you need!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, I'll try to find out what your 'normal' eating patterns are and how you like (or would like to eat). Then I'll start by explaining the basics of where we're going that integrates where you are and comfortable steps towards how you should be eating. If we're working with an allergy, I'll figure out how we can least modify your life while still enjoying favorites. If we're working with picky kids - there may be a number of steps to get where we're headed. I like to include the child in the process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in nutrition from Colorado State University and undergraduate degrees from Life University and Tufts University. I'm licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Vermont. You can submit an invoice to your insurance company for reimbursement - depending on your coverage if you live in a state where I'm licensed. I've worked as a NICU dietitian, inpatient and outpatient. I have specialized additional training in food allergies, selective eating, pediatrics, and enteral feeding.
