Matt and his team recently replaced a door for us in our basement that many other contractors said could not be replaced. His team were very prompt and showed up on time, and returned when they said they would the following day to complete the work. My wife and I are very excited for the professional look of the new door and will definitely be looking to hire Kennison Construction again!

We hired Kennison for a full bathroom renovation, replacement of a front door, and some plumbing work. While the plumbing work took a bit longer than expected, there have been no issues with the work. Because our bathroom renovation has been such a nightmare, we may need to seek legal assistance to recoup damages. For that reason, I'm editing my review to remove the details of the bathroom renovation experience. What I will say, is after 6 weeks, countless delays, no shows with no communication, we still have a completely unfinished room and have decided to stop working with this contractor. What I will share is our experience for the exterior door replacement. The night after the install, the lock did not work. When I confronted the owner of the company he said he'd let his guys know and they'd fix it the next day. The workers came and told me it locked when they left and they didn't do anything wrong. They argued with me, but proceeded to address the issue. The door locks now, but there's a gap in the bottom of the door that has yet to be fixed. This work started on March 26th and as of Monday, May 12th, there's still a gap and they haven't replaced the inside trim of the door. At first we were told they'd replace the trim they removed - weeks later, we were told we needed new trim which we bought and brought home. The door has been unfinished for nearly 7 weeks despite having paid them the full amount of the job, $802.17 as it was supposed to be a one-day job. We assumed with them here regularly doing the bathroom reno there'd be no problem. We were wrong. This experience has been overwhelmingly frustrating, unprofessional, and stressful. Just last week, Matt took responsibility for the mess the bathroom reno has been and thanked me for being patient. I ran out of patience on Monday and fired them. A construction project depends on trust, organization, and communication — Kennison failed on all three. If timely completion, respect for your home, and basic professionalism matter to you, I strongly recommend you hire someone else.
