FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
We LOVED planning our DIY wedding. It was amazing to see all our hard work, ideas, event design and coordination become a reality. The day was truly a reflection of the love between us. It didn't hurt that I (Caitlin) heard several of the event staff, friends and family members at our wedding say, "She should do this for a living!" :) Rick joined in the business idea, and together we love creating, helping others, and making meaningful moments. Put those 3 things together and you get wedding event mentoring!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Wedding mentoring is most helpful when you want to be your own point person for your wedding. It is helpful for many couples, but some couples certainly can benefit from hiring an event planner. Be as realistic as possible about what you can take on and what exactly you need help with because being realistic at the start of the process wil serve you the best on the day of your wedding.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
In the book "The Happiness Project," one of the guidelines is to become a treasure trove of happy memories, and that's what this profession provides us with--the opportunity to help people create an amazing treasure trove of happy memories in a single day and ones that will last a lifetime. We hope clients know what an unbelievable privilege it is to help them create that treasure trove.
