Alex was excellent to work with. We interviewed 5 other contractors who insisted we use Luxury Vinyl in our 1906 home. Alex was patient and helped us find the perfect hardwood flooring needed for our house. The crew completed the project ahead of schedule. They navigated our project with another contractor replacing the outdoor siding - not an easy feat. Their work was skillful and the finished floors and stairs are perfect. Alex had custom air returns made from the same hardwood, which are pure artistry. The only constructive criticism I will give was the dust left over from sawing the hardwood pieces. Before wood flooring replacement, go over with Alex where his crew should cut the wood to avoid dust on the walls. However, in complete fairness, our yard was full of construction material, and 9 siding workers. The back door was blocked by the furniture we moved to allow the floors to be replaced. I could barely get in the front door to answer questions from the flooring crew. I'm sure provided the space, the crew would have performed the sawing of hardwood outside. The crew did clean the floors in the house after they completed the work and no dust was left on them. Alex did a walk through with me and I accepted the work was completed to my satisfaction. It wasn't until we started moving the furniture back in that we realized dust on the walls. I mentioned this to Alex, and he offered to refund me cleaning costs. I believe his offer was generous and professional. I had walked through the house and signed off on the job. If we had performed an more thorough inspection ourselves, we could have addressed our concern with Alex. This one criticism will not influence any future decisions to work with Alex and Best Floor Coverings. We are planing a kitchen remodel and will have gladly hire Alex again.

The truck broke the last minute, yet Alex was able to re-ajust the schedule and still complete the work on the day it was originally planned. Craftmanship is good, quality of material is great.

I recently hired Alex from Best Floor Coverings to refinish my existing red oak cedar hardwood floors, replace carpet with hardwood in my dining room and living room, and stain all the hardwood surfaces, including stairs and railings, to match.
