I got 3 quotes from thumbtack. I hired Marlen, because he charged hourly instead of per item. I thought it was going to be 4-5 hours of work to assemble furniture (3 beds, dresser, dining table/chairs, kitchen table, coffee table) for a 2 bedroom condo. 2 hours into putting furniture together he asked if he can get a helper to finish early. It took a total of 6 hours with his helper working 4 hours on Christmas Eve. They weren’t in a rush to leave & wanted to put up the curtain rods at 6 pm Christmas Eve, but I told them that the HOA doesn’t allow noise after 5 pm. Marlén is a hard worker, helped take the trash to the dumpster, carried heavy boxes, respectful, & willing to help with heavy items.
