FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies depending on the type of job and complexity. We do not have a standard price but we are upfront and transparent during our initial visit so you, the client, understands what would be required to complete your project. Some jobs, Like EXTERIOR PAINTING for example, can have a starting range from 0.95$ a square foot for labor. Labor goes up depending on how many colors, slope or elevation around home, how many stories, roof pitch, any special circumstances..etc. Hourly rates "average" from $45-$65* hour for skilled labor in construction type services . Some handyman projects range from $45 - $55 an hour. There is a 1 hour minimum and a trip charge to cover travel time and vehicle expenses of $35. We are typically not the cheapest as far as pricing. However, we do very high quality detail oriented work and provide an exceptional service to our clients. Once a final bid is submitted, we guarantee it will get done at that amount. If there is a possibility of unforeseen damage (behind walls, dry rot..etc.) that is not visible, we will stop the job and get a work authorization from you to continue with your consent before we start the repair. I believe in complete transparency in order to gain your business and trust. My personal reputation has been built on word of mouth and the quality workmanship ive provided has been the business objective for CRM Services. We respect your property and belongings and take extra effort in prep, cleanup and disposal daily. CRM Services has provided everything from small handyman/honey-do services to complete additions and major property demo, planning, and complete renovation based on the clients monetary limit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet the client at the property to go over the scope of work, expectations, budget, and to explain any unforeseen variables that may arise. Consult with client to determine completion time frame. Take pictures and provide a detailed quote with cost breakdown within 24 hours.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 years experience in both residential and commercial construction and building maintenance. Highly efficient based on experience. Held positions as estimator, project manager and maintenance manager for mid-large scale general contractors and property management companies. Certified Lead Based Paint Renovator Started off as a painter prep for production tract homes right out of high school then moved on to a production painter (sprayer). This is where I learned efficiency, time management and hard work. My determination allowed me to become the youngest Foreman the company has had. I continued my career with a sub division of Owens Corning called HomeXperts. I learned a very specialized trade in solid surface restoration and repair. Within 4 months I surpassed the main tech's monthly invoiced revenue and was promoted to the supervising tech for the west coast division of tub and scratch, our most lucrative revenue generating service. I repaired and restored Granite, marble, engineered stone, fiberglass bathware (repair and re-gelcoating), acrylic bathware, porcelain on steel tubs and faucets (chip repair and full refinishing). I also did glass scratch removal on windows for both residential and commercial settings. All of this accounted for what was a major step into the attention to detail that I use today as we dealt with high end homes and properties where nothing but the best unnoticeable repair was accepted. On the job training taught me how to become a confident leader that would eventually gain the respect of fellow co-workers and owners of the companies that gave me a chance to prove myself. I treat co-workers with respect and go out of my way to make sure they have the tools and materials that is needed before the day starts but more importantly the confidence to succeed. I firmly believe you can acheive anything with a solid team that has a mutual respect and vision. I still perform hands on field work and have a vast knowledge of practically all trades and building codes. I dont just set the job up and leave, i believe in working side by side with my team. It's important to have experience working with city plans department to acquire permits. And gathering plans from other trades to act as the GC for multiple trade projects. Skilled in seeing the project from start to finish which allows me to stage and schedule sub contractors with minimal to no downtime. Which in the end, saves you, the client, time and money.
