Fernando was very knowledgeable about his craft and accommodating about working around the furniture we had no other way of moving and the chair lift on the stairs. We reached out in mid-October, with the aim of getting our floors done before end of year. It took some working around everyone's schedules, but they got it all done by mid-December. He and his crew ripped up all our old carpet and linoleum, and put down LVP in its place. It looks fantastic, and we're very happy with it. When something unexpected came up (as it _always_ does with a job this big), he was careful to explain to us what the issue was and our options in addressing it.

We had them come out to give us a quote for replacing our carpet with engineered hardwood. We didn’t end up doing the project at all as our realtor advised against it, but if we did we would’ve hired Novedad. They were extremely knowledgeable about floor clearance, working around obstacles etc. We tend to a lot of work ourselves so we’re pretty familiar with flooring and they were the most comprehensive and detail oriented in how they would approach the projects. We will be using them in our next house for sure!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working for a small family-owned company in North Carolina. The owner took me under his wing and taught me all aspects of floor installation. I loved the work and stayed with the company for nearly five years. I started my own flooring company when I moved to Washington state in 2000. I have over 25 years of flooring installation.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Well, that's where we installed luxury vinyl and carpet, the project took a day's work
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Customers looking to hire a quality flooring expert should consider the experience of the contractor and hire an owner/operator. I don't use subcontractors. I do all the work myself and am knowledgeable in all aspects of flooring installation.
