We were first time home buyers and Gavin was awesome at helping us get through the process! He was more than happy to spend extra time explaining each step to us. Also, while we were visiting houses he provided great, honest opinions and never made us feel pressured to make a buy. In fact he did the opposite and really encouraged us to take our time and make sure we found something we really liked. We had been warned by numerous people that Realtors tend to really push you to buy quickly so they got a quick buck but with Gavin it was apparent he really cared about us finding a great home not matter how long it took. We would recommend Gavin to anyone!

Kelly was my real estate agent when I recently sold my home in the Sunset Hills neighborhood in Ballard. She went way above and beyond to help me get my house on the market quickly, even helping scrub the garage roof and move huge amounts of boxes in my basement. In addition, she really worked with other realtors at Windermere to help determine how best to show my house, how to price it appropriately, and was a huge advocate for me throughout the process. There was some hand-holding... Kelly has amazing, positive energy and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Absolutely a must that you use Brian to sell or buy your next home. An investor myself for over 20 years, I came to Brian hoping he would provide me with the no a non-sense business approach and not fill me with the fluff many agents have throughout my years. I am old and retiring, and just want my properties SOLD. Brian knew exactly what I wanted for my two properties and that I didn't want to negotiate. I left the negotiating to him. 5 days later he shows up with offer in hand and having worked out all the details. We closed in 30 days and I am a happy camper into retirement.         What's the difference between a real estate broker and an agent?

        Real estate agents and real estate brokers both help clients buy, sell, and rent residential and commercial properties. Reading reviews will help you weed out obvious bad operators; you want to work with someone who treats their clients with fairness and respect. That said, you also want someone who can play hardball and maximize your real estate deal. Ask for references from recent clients, and be sure to call them.

        Experts encourage you to interview more than one prospective real estate agent before hiring. A home sale or home purchase is a big deal — sometimes the biggest deal in a person’s life — and you want to find an agent who will work hard for you. In today’s market, having a real estate agent who is social media savvy and has an attractive online presence is critical. Ask the agent how they plan to market your house. Review their listings, and ask yourself if they have professional photos with homes that are professionally staged. If the answer is no, they might not have the marketing savvy you’re looking for.         What do real estate agents charge?

        Real estate agents typically don’t charge a set rate to their clients, but rather earn a commission on the price of the final home sale. In traditional real estate, there is a buyer’s agent and a seller’s agent. The two agents receive 5 percent to 6 percent of the final home sale price and split it evenly, meaning they each earn roughly 2.5 percent to 3 percent of the total home sale. If you are a home seller, you may have fees associated with the sale that are above and beyond the commission the agents earn. The real estate agent may have you pay marketing fees, MLS fees, early cancellation fees, or more.
