- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I recall walking in to a Computer Room in the 7th Grade, surrounded by Apple IIe's and saying .. "Ahh Yes .. This is for me!" Since then, i've just been a sponge for Computer Knowledge and information. Finding ways to do things faster and/or easier for a someone is one of my driving forces.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
More often then most, work performed for customers is related to performance. This is done by a General Preventive Maintenance task to scan and remove spyware, any virus software, defragging the hdd, performing a deep dive into the registry to optimize performance. This can usually be done remotely in about an hour if you can get online in either Windows or Safe Mode with Networking. When im complete, you'll be left with the tools to maintain your pc on your own or you can inquire about my ongoing Preventive Maintenance Plan, which covers remote support, anyispyware, antimalware and Remote Data Backup. - What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure that the provider listens to your issues completely. They should offer you more than 1 option for repair. If a provider doesn't know how to fix something, they should know how to find someone that can.
