Cheryl Did a great job helping my wife and progress beyond our current skillsets. My wife needed more help with her basics and getting comfortable with painting and I was ready for a little more advanced things. I would recommend Cheryl to anyone who is looking for good one on one or group painting lessons!
I've had 3 lessons and hope to continue indefinitely. Nicole is a wonderful teacher: soothing and kind and direct. Her style matches mine completely. I look forward to our lessons every week. Thank you, Nicole
I absolutely loved working with Janet. I am a fairly shy person, and though I have the passion to try new things, I rarely have the courage to do so. My first few lessons, where scary for me, I could barely muster up the courage put my paintbrush on the paper, because I was terrified of "doing it wrong", or making a mistake. But Janet was so kind and loving, and very very patient with me. After just a couple lessons with her, I really felt comfortable and at peace. I really can't say enough good things about her! She's wonderful.
Patrick has helped me become a much more accomplished artist. He is a truly professional artist and a great teacher. My art lessons on the past have never been this successful, because those teaching were poor instructors.
Ray was wonderful to work with. There were two projects. The first was drawing lessons for young want- to- be artists. As she worked with them on a still life, the girls recognized they could successfully draw. The second, much more ambitious project , was a mural on an outside adobe bread oven. 5 kids ranging in age from 3-13 drew up plans based on Greek Gods and then transformed the dome of the oven. A huge success.
What? Only 5 Stars....? Surely Edd qualifies for more. He is an exceptional teacher, mentor, and motivator. Having mastered many artistic diciplines including oil and watercolor painting, pottery/ceramics, tile, computer graphic arts, and more, he finds new and creative ways to guide young and old in their quest to express themselves. He's a good listener and quickly finds the connections to best facilitate the release of your creative potential. He has years of experience working with young scholars in the public school system and seems to have the knack to engage them in very positive transformative ways. I just can't recommend Edd highly enough.
I have been taking lessons from her since 2011. I started as a complete novice, no prior experience in painting or any systematic art training. She emphasizes the importance of values, and, once a student masters it, moves onto other aspects of paintings: key, temperature, hue, composition, etc. She wouldn't be giving you a lip service, she would give you a real fundamental training, and beyond if you wish to continue. I feel extremely lucky that I met her, for that I could not afford going to full time atelier or university. If you want to build a solid foundation, I highly recommend her.
My work stand out, because not only do I have a photorealistic approach, I tell a story with minimal subject matter. I look at the implications of the slightest motion or facial expressions, linking physical demeanor/ appearance to state of being.
I am an experienced painter in both acrylics and oils and would love to share my knowledge with any skill level or age. Thank you for your interest. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more details.
I create original paintings, music, and unique designs. I'm happy to also teach you painting, playing guitar and drums, songwriting, drawing, design, and anything you think that I may be able to help you with.
I retired early from teaching digital photography, video production and animation for the Monroe School District. I can meet to teach individuals in the local public library. I have a Washington state teaching certification, Master's in Fine Art degree and fifteen years of experience teaching in K-12, community college and university classrooms. I am open to discussing each client's individual needs as they pertain to digital photography, video and animation. I have also been giving private painting lessons to individuals at a variety of levels such as beginning, intermediate, advanced and professsional.
Studio Broadway is a small and private art studio with a casual environment, situated on a small farm just outside of beautiful Historic Snohomish, WA. It is located 35 minutes north of Seattle, a couple miles north of FlowerWorld & Maltby Cafe. If your children are taking classes, this excellent place lets you enjoy walking the many amazing restaurants and shops, while your child is having a great time creating art and crafts projects! We will complete many fun arts and crafts projects with our hands-on classes, and at the same time, learn new skills and make new friends! They will experience various facets of art, which include: acrylics, watercolor, collage, plaster art, and mosaic. Developing artistic skills provides your child the ability to express themselves outside the box, which is exceptionally important to their development. As many public schools no longer provide or provide art classes, my services are even more important, as I feel each child should have the chance to enjoy, create and explore their artistic side! I also offer adult art lessons and classes. Come and enjoy an evening of "Watercolor & Wine" with my small group of women who like to explore their artistic side over a glass of vino, or need private lessons. I offer those, too! We also provide Girl Scout Art Badge programs! I can come to your location as well. This is great for daycares, play groups, schools etc. Available by appointment and registration only.
