It has been such a delight to work with Jennifer Tai. Selecting our wedding photographer was the most important aspect of our wedding planning, but with Jenn it was also the easiest decision we made.It amazed us how quickly she felt like part of our family during our introduction meeting not so shocking when you take into account her sense of humor, intelligence and charisma. The communication process was fluid and she supported us every step of the way.In addition to her dynamite personality, her artistic abilities are phenomenal and we continue to hear non-stop praise about our wedding photos even 5 months later. Jenn has a talent for getting both unique and traditional shots that evoke the happiest of feelings/memories.Additionally, it was our pleasure to have her as our boudoir photographera perfect wedding gift for the groom.We cannot wait for our next special occasion that will include a photographer.Hands down Jennifer Tai is the best!

Sometimes a photographer will get the job done, but for those really special life moments you really need more than that. This is where Jennifer comes in...We spent countless nights, and hours upon hours researching wedding photographers before finding Jenn. Right away, we all got along so effortlessly and just clicked. Oh, and her work looked amazing, as if the pictures were out of a magazine... but nicer. Like a cliche love story, we both knew that we had found 'the one' after our first meeting.Jenn was not just our photographer, but more like an old friend who helped us navigate through our long and chaotic day full of Chinese and American ceremonies. She patiently advised us with posing, timing, etc and was a calming and positive presence throughout the ceremony, family portraits, and the reception. We had 200+ guests, and it didn't faze her one bit; she was an expert 'herder of cats' and made us laugh even when we were exhausted.We could not have done it without her. Her work is beautiful and artistry really is the best description for it. The portraits and documentary shots were perfectly natural and not overly altered/touched up like many we have seen. We especially enjoyed all of the candid pictures because they really gave us a view into the events of the day (that we were too busy to see or remember). We had pretty high expectations and she exceeded them all. We both follow her blog, Facebook and Instagram pages because we enjoy her work so much (check out her family and baby photoshoots). If you are looking for a wedding photographer, you can't go wrong with Jenn. She's a remarkable photographer and an even better person. She only does a limited number of weddings each year though, so make sure to book her before her schedule fills up.

According to Yelp, 5 stars=as good as it gets, and that doesn't come close to the work that Jennifer produces. From the moment we had our first consultation, Jenn made a bold statement that will forever stick with me, "if a photographer can't capture amazing photos within an hour or so for a bridal photo shoot, then maybe they shouldn't call themselves a professional photographer yet!" Because I was throwing down a traditional Vietnamese wedding for 360 guests, I knew I had to get someone as bold and experienced as Jenn to divert any minor technical difficulties to capture amazing photos for me! Here are the top things that make Jenn amazing:1. Her calm demeanor. She is there, but...she's not really there physically as an intrusive photographer who prompts you to do everything and disrupt the organic nature of how feelings and actions should be expressed. We went through our wedding photos and didn't even remember her being there to capture the amazing shots she captured. THAT'S AMAZING! 2. Her expertise. One rule all couples searching for a photographer should follow: GET A PRO.3. Her appreciation to keep her pictures organic and natural. It's not posy but perfect portrait photos, it's natural, and she makes your fiance feel like he's s natural model even when he's VERY stiff.You will not be disappointed with Jennifer Tai as your wedding photographer! Wow - absolutely blown away by Jenn's work. We could not believe how beautiful our wedding photos turned out, how wonderfully professional she is to work with, and what a joy is was to have her be part of our big day. From the day that we contracted with her, we felt we could breathe easy about our precious memories being captured. Her portfolio of photo artistry is true representation of her phenomenal eye for photography and we couldn't be happier with our final pictures. Though one of the best things about working with Jenn is how well she puts you at ease - you not only can be assured that your photos will be beautiful, but that she is on top of all the details that you would necessarily think of in the whirlwind of the event...all the while being marvelously unobtrusive to important moments. (I have no idea how she got some of the fantastically intimate photos of our ceremony because I never got the sense that there was a camera nearby...she is like a photography ninja - slyly capturing a perfect moment then disappearing into the background without anyone knowing she was ever there...) Both my husband and I proudly give Jenn our highest recommendation and look forward to someday working with her again for future life events. :)

Our wedding collections begin at $4,500 and average bookings range between $5,000 to $8,000, with WA sales tax. Our portrait collections begin at $450 and average bookings including digitals range from $1,200 to $2,500.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We love to meet our clients face-to-face as photography is quite personal and letting our clients see who we are, next to what we do, is critical to our success. Our office is in Kirkland, WA. Let us know if we can schedule a consult with you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-trained in photography, with 12 years of journalism behind me. 2019 is our 12th year in business, and my 13th wedding season.
