Dan arrived at my home on time for a chimney inspection. He very thoroughly m explained the current state of my chimney and fireplace and provided a quote breaking down every service needed to get my home to the state it should be at. I ended up having to wait to make the upgrades and will definitely reach out to this company when I can get this work done. Dan was very honest with the current state of my home and not pushy at all which I appreciate. He was very professional and friendly and made it clear that safety is their first priority.

Fantastic customer service and responsiveness—I really felt cared for when chatting with Next Level Chimneys through Thumbtack. The person who came out to my house seemed knowledgeable and helped me better understand what is and isn’t possible for my house. My only wish, however, is that someone would have told me ahead of time what I’d be charged for the visit alone if it turned out a chimney sweep could not be completed (which I didn’t realize was a possible outcome when I scheduled). I had mentioned in my messages that I had a wood stove insert, which are normally heavy, and when the professional showed up at my house I was told he would have to come back again on a different day with someone else because it’s at least a two person job to move the stove. In my case, it turned out a chimney cleaning was not possible due to there not being a lining, so I ended up paying $100 just for the visit. A short, bare bones inspection report was included, but did not include any images or details about the inside of the chimney. It was helpful in the sense that now we know that the chimney will be unusable until we invest a few thousand dollars into lining our insert or removing it altogether, but for $100 I would have loved an inspection report that includes more of the images, summary of discussions from the visit, and other considerations/information (as you would find on a normal inspection report). In reality, I think my accurate rating would be closer to a 4.5, if Thumbtack would allow that rating through the system. I’d be happy to work with Next Level Chimneys in the future, depending on the type of work I’d need done. My rating mainly boils down to how it would’ve been nice to know what I’d be responsible for paying if no work could be completed. I think it’s important for anyone to have the chance to weigh their options on what would make financial sense before agreeing to an appointment.

I am very happy with my chimney cleaning + inspection service. All communication with Next Level Chimneys was prompt, friendly, and professional, and I appreciate that texting was an option. Jesse (our technician) was able to come early and let me know well in advance when to expect him, and he was professional and thorough during his visit. Billing and payment was very easy with cash check or card options. I look forward to having them back for our next service.
