Introduction: I have been helping couples to divorce well. As a mediator, I empower couples to divorce with integrity, respect, and fairness. In the comfort and confidential environment of my conference rooms at Carillon Point or South Lake Union, couples move through all the issues that must be determined in a divorce - a parenting plan, child support, property split, and consideration of temporary support. As a mediator, I guide the process - brainstorming solutions, writing up your agreements, and after legal review, you present them to the court. Clients love my methodical problem-solving skills, my empathy, and my reasonable fees. I ask for payment at the end of each mediation session, so clients always know where they stand financially. And I keep my fees below market in order to encourage what I truly believe is the best way to divorce. As a collaborative lawyer, I do the same thing; but as your legal counselor, I am representing one spouse while another collaborative lawyer represents the other spouse. Affiliated financial and communications professionals also provide support. Some couples need more helping hands than others to reach the end of the road and move on with their lives, preserving key relationships and achieving their goals. I also help families address family issues such as how to pass on a family business, what to do about an elderly parent in poor health, etc.
