My name is Hillary Hitz, and I’m the owner and sole process server behind Hitz Legal Services. I was raised in Bellingham and earned my paralegal degree from Whatcom Community College in 2020. During an internship, I discovered process serving and quickly realized it was the perfect way to combine my legal training with helping others.
In 2021, I relocated to king county to launch Hitz Legal Services, bringing my experience and values back to the community that shaped me. As a lifelong Bellingham resident, I’m committed to handling every serve with integrity, professionalism, and clear communication.

I hired Hillary to locate and serve a person that had no permanent address. Hillary immediately began working to locate the person and communicated with me any updates they had on finding the person. Within days her team had located and served the person. They followed up the next business day with a proof of service for me to file with the court. I will definitely use Hitz Legal Services again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Routine service starts at $135 with the first attempt within 3 days. I also offer rush ($200), same-day ($250), and on-demand ($450). Every serve includes a signed affidavit — no hidden fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You send me the documents, I confirm the details and your deadline, then I get them served. Once it's done you get a signed affidavit for your records.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Whatcom Community College in 2018 with a degree in paralegal studies. I discovered process serving during an internship and never looked back.
