FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I charge a standard rate of $50/hour for translating and interpreting work. Since I am still studying to become an editor, I charge $25/hour for editing work. I charge $12/hour for transcription work. Depending on the nature of the work, these prices are subject to change, specifically for services in editing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a English Literature and Philosophy graduate, and a self-taught translator and interpreter of Tibetan. I also translated and edited a book, published on 2014, which furnished me with invaluable experience in editing, proofreading and transcribing from audio.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After translating and publishing a book in 2014, I began to receive many requests for my services not only as an interpreter and translator, but also for work in editing, proofreading and transcription. I also found that translation naturally requires skills in editing and transcription.
