The owner Dan Castoe is a highly trained and experienced electrician, working around the world on complex electrical projects right out of high school. You can call him a career electrician using his skills to build a highly reputable company over the past 20 years. His son Jake has followed in his father’s footsteps and has learned to be one of the best electricians from the age of 13. Jake's wife Kaylie is the Office Manager. This is truly a family owned and operated business.
The continued success and growth of DC Electric prompted Dan to bring in an experienced manager, Steve Hoefer. Steve grew up in a third-generation family-owned business since the age of 13 like Jake. Steve has owned and operated several electrical contracting companies and is responsible for business development, estimating and the Service Department

Dan from DC Electric came out to my condo to add in a new electrical and repair the broken electrical outlets. He was knowledgeable and did his work efficiently. He was super nice to talk to and a humble and friendly guy, who I will 100% recommend for any electrical work! Learned a few things from him too, great guy and great work! Thank you Steve for the very prompt response and getting the job done. Highly recommend!!

Dan did a great job. Clean with attention to detail. They even came back and upgraded the 50A line (standard NEMA) to a less conventional 60A one for the new Tesla connector. I would heartily recommend them.

We had a great experience. I needed a new wire for a downdraft oven. This wire needed to be ran all the way to our box and the house doesn't have crawl space to do so in an easy manner. They were able to send out a guy immediately to evaluate and solve the problem. 2 other electricians refused the job due to the difficulty, but Dan not only took it on he seemed to enjoy the challenge and then went well above and beyond to get it right and make it look great.
Will definitely call them again for anything.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
DC Electric, Inc. charges $129 minimum for a service call. This is to cover the cost of dispatching an electrician with truck and tools to the job. Upon customer request we will give an exact proposal and price. If the customer accepts proposal the $129 fee is waived.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer requests service DC Electric, Inc. immediately sends our contact information through the Thumbtack messaging service and we attempt to contact the customer by phone and text within minutes
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Owner Dan Castoe is a union trained and tested licensed electrician with 40 years experience at all levels. Service Manager, Steve Hoefer is a college trained licensed Master Electrician with 30 years experience owning and managing electrical contracting companies.
