I hired him for my recent move to California, I reached out and we agreed on a price. I asked him how many people will come for the move and he mentioned, it will be two people including him. But on the move day he showed up alone and so it took a long time for him to complete the loading on the truck. He also didn’t really show any care for my indoor plants. Because it was pretty late leaving Seattle, I gave him additional money so he can stay somewhere along the way. (Extra than the moving charges) He showed up the next day in California and asked for more money if I wanted to unload the next day, (the reason we got late is because the loading took too much time and I was driving to California as well). Anyway, we unloaded in the night, overall everything was in order, but the plants were damaged, some of these plants are like 10 year old. He also lost the TV hardware, and an expensive lamp shade. He said he had it at his place. On completing the move I asked him if he can send the lamp shade back to me, to which he agreed. I gave him additional money knowing that he’ll have to ship the lamp shade. Fast forward to today, he hasn’t sent anything to me and doesn’t reply to me. He’s probably okay for same city move, but I wouldn’t trust him for long distance move.
