FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
While I think I do a little bit of everything, some of the most fun is in the odd jobs here and there. Planning a wedding start to finish is fantastic, but sometimes a busy bride just needs a hand building welcome baskets for out-of-town guests, addressing invites, or assembling favors. These brides are fun to work because it's such a reward to see the relief when you can even just make that small difference in a planning workload.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently volunteered my services to coordinate a military function and had no idea how much work I was in for - I'll take a full blown wedding any day! That being said, it was an amazing event that I handled advertisements, invitations, food, seating, programs, and a script for. This was great because I usually am coordinating another vendor handling these steps! The highlight was a uniform emergency where I lengthened someone's pants at the event to make sure they were in regulation - the look of gratitude was worth every stress and extra effort that jumped up during the day.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure it's the proper fit. You will work very intimately with your wedding planner and the simple fact is that not all personalities always line up. That's okay! As planners, we want you to have the wedding day you envision and sometimes that means someone else may have a better angle.
