About
Hi! I’m Lynette. I have been self-employed as a pet sitter, house sitter and housekeeper for almost 20 years now. I think of my career as "do what you love and love what you do.” I have made so many great connections with families as their house sitter and housekeeper, and let's not forget; we can't live without our favorite pets in the world. Taking good care of them now is my top priority!!!
I can come to your home to pet sit. I’m not equipped to have a pet stay with me. (No fence). A while back now, I was trained by a collie's owner to nurse her dog who was fighting cancer. The owner needed to travel abroad for a bicycle tour planned long before her dog became ill. I stayed with her and we were able to keep the collie with us until the owner returned home. To this day, she and I have remained friends and bonded over that experience. She came home a day early but just in time knowing we were running out of time and she made it. 🙏🏼
I’m busier as time goes on but I try to work in anyone who needs help when asked. I look forward to hearing from anyone in need of my services.
Thank you.

Lynette is a real gem! I highly recommend her for cleaning and she has been flexible and provided other home services (dogwalking, help with unpacking, moving stuff around.)

Lynette has taken care of my dogs when needed since 2015. During the summers I'm gone for 2 weeks at a time as a wildfire dispatcher. Also takes care of my dogs when I go on vacation. She takes care of them on short notice when needed. I've had 2 to 3 dogs thru this time. Currently I have 2 dogs (50 - 75 lbs). If the dogs need medication or supplements, Lynette always ensures she has the directions and knows exactly what is needed to give these. She spoils my dogs with love and attention. She interacts with the dogs and makes sure they get exercise or walks them if that is required. She takes pictures with cute captions and sends them if you'd like, so you know your fur babies are fine, happy and doing well. She is prompt, understanding, good sense of humor and engaged. You would be very happy with her dog sitting if hired.

I cannot say enough good things about Lynette. The first time I met her I was having trouble getting my male golden retriever out of the car and she got him out right away. She also bonded immediately with my female boxer who is normally very shy and doesn’t warm up to people quickly. Lynette does a great job of taking care of my fur babies when I have to be away and has also done some awesome cleaning for me Lynette is also a very genuine, sweet person who is easy to get along with.

Lynette is a very good worker. She has cleaned my house and also took care of my dog when I had cancer and needed some help. She cleans every thing, even windows. I have 3 bedroom home so she did the dusting, vacuuming and cleaned the 2 bathrooms. She also took care of my dog, letting her outside and walking her and generally took care of my dogs needs. She is very thorough and did anything I asked of her in regard to cleaning the house. Did my dishes too! Also went grocery shopping for me and some light cooking.

FAQs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
They put up an inquiry. We text, call or email each other slowly getting acquainted in the process. Then set up a meet and greet and go from there. Even a couple meetings if it’s a case where they are going to be gone for say a week. That’s worked every time. So fun meeting new people and especially their beloved fur babies!!!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
A long time friend recommended me to a woman who’d had rotator cuff surgery. She’d been using a wheelchair for at least 30 years. By the end of our first shift together, she was singing praises about my work, thanking me for following her directions and just showing up on time. (Apparently, other nurses who came to help didn’t work out well which led her to be totally frustrated with the situation.) We worked together every day for eight months until she was completely healed up. So, she was pivotal in my decision to begin working as a caregiver. She would tell me all the time that I should be a nurse!!!
I then helped look after my sister who eventually passed from cancer 7 years ago. Grueling but you do it out of love. She had a pup we found a home for. And…that got me. I decided to devote my energy to the fur babies. Love it. No regrets with that choice!!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A client I dog and house sit for asked if I knew where to donate some large paintings. I called an assisted living facility and they loved the idea. I will always treasure how good it felt to donate the art. Even the staff were joking how much they wanted one of them. A great reminder to be of service and volunteer to the community.
