About

Being a young senior, I have a flexible schedule. I care for pets in their own homes only because I know how much more relaxed they would be in their own territory. I am a very responsible and dependable individual. I have a cat and dog who share my life with me. I had some very happy customers in Tacoma area who were very sad that I was moving to Olympia. Cat sitting is mostly what I have background in. Please view my references. I have excellent references (scroll down to reviews). I will take care of your cats (1-2) during the day while you are away. For the maximum of one week I will give your pet(s) amazing care. I have had cats and dogs for pets all my life and wouldn't dream of life without them. I see each pet as an individual, regardless of breed. I see them as someone's family member, not just a pet. I love seeing happy pets! I love to comb/brush the pet(s), take photos with my cell phone and send them to the customer while they are away, interact with the cat(s) and allow time for play. I do not rush my time with each pet. It isn't just a job for me, it is something that I love doing. I know firsthand, how much a pet can mean to someone. I would love to talk with you further about your pet care needs.

Marnie is a person of high moral integrity, is honest, dependable and very loving. She loves animals and has two pets who are her children. She has rescued homeless pets, seen to their medical treatments and found forever homes for them as she could. I've walked my vacationing friend's dog, Murphy with Marnie and her dog, Poochie on many occasions and Murphy loved Marnie. And Marnie has cared for other pet's and is the ideal pet sitter.

All 100%. She sent pics everyday so I could know that he was well cared for. She also watered my flowers. She obviously cares a lot about the pets she takes care of.

Look no further - Marnie is the pet sitter to hire! We hired Marnie based on her excellent reviews, and now we are also giving her the highest score, because she deserves it. Our experience with Marnie was excellent from beginning to end - she showed up when she said she would, did what she said she would, and took wonderful care of our 2 cats. Marnie is a delightful person, we really enjoyed working with her. Our cats warmed up to her immediately - her approach to meeting them was just right. The pictures and videos she sent every day show they obviously enjoyed her visits. When we came home, they were relaxed, better groomed than we usually do, and obviously well cared for. Everything she does shows her love of animals, and her talent in caring for them. We will hire Marnie again next time our kitties need a sitter!

I base my pricing on different factors. The extent of care, the time involved in care, and what pricing is the customer comfortable with.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet them and their pet in a non-rushed manner. Take time to get to know the owner and pet(s) before caring for their pet(s). I love interacting with other pet lovers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken extensive classes while working for a school district in how to manage my life and how to best work with special needs students. This training has given me highly transferable skills in working with pets. After working for 13 years in the school district, I have developed great patience, emotional maturity, and integrity.
