Nick traveled to our home town for my daughter's senior portrait photo shoot. At first he was pretty quiet but his assistant helped him be more relaxed. He took pictures at three different locations within 3 hours with 3 clothing changes. What was amazing was that Nick had her photos edited and sent to us within 24 hours, some within 6 hours and he had a 2 hr drive back home. Nick did an amazing job and all was said and done within 5 days of contacting him. Thanks Nick for the great experience!Aug 12, 2015Verified
Very prompt and reasonable response and quote to request. Arrived early and was ready to go before WE were! Photos exactly what we wanted for company headshots.Feb 7, 2017Verified
We had a very good experience with Innovations Photography. Nick was professional and courteous and easy to work with. He fit his schedule to ours and helped us find a suitable location for the photo shoot. Once we were there, Nick did a great job of keeping everyone relaxed. He helped with the posing so that nothing looked "posed" and everything looked natural and made sure we got all the shots we wanted in all the locations we'd planned. The finished products were terrific -- even better than I imagined they could be. I highly recommend Innovations Photography and would not hesitate to hire Nick again for any photography needs. He's terrific.Oct 14, 2015Verified
I am extremely unhappy with my service from Photography by Nicolas Gerlach! When we first started interacting, he seemed like a great photographer with great customer service skills. He was able to set up a time quickly, and said he would take whatever specific pictures I wanted. I thought everything was going great until I received my pictures. They were TERRIBLE! These are my graduation photos and important things like the mascot, my cap, the bottom of my stole and cords, etc were all cropped out of the picture! He cut off half of the “Science” building sign, blurred out things like “Biology” when I wanted a picture in front of that, cut out the entire school sign, etc. He sent me pictures with his assistant in them and didn’t send me pictures I specifically asked for before we even started taking photos. I contacted him to resolve the issue and he was very unprofessional and would not do anything to improve my satisfaction with his work other than send me a few more terrible photos. I made comments on the individual photos for him to re-edit some of them and since I expressed my frustration, I have not heard from him again. I have shown the pictures to multiple people and every single one said they were terrible and that they could have done a better job with an iPhone. There are 2 semi usable photos and they don’t even look like graduation photos (everything even hinting about the school is not in them). His work is so terrible that I have had to hire another photographer after already paying him a ridiculous amount for what I got.Nov 29, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is negotiable depending on the project. Bulk projects do get a discount as well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First and foremost I schedule a phone call to answer any questions you may have about the project and schedule a time and place to take the photos. I also get your email and phone number so that I can bill and deliver the finished work. The day before the shoot I send a confirmation message with reminder for the appointment along with any reminders to make the shoot go as smooth as possible. The day of the shoot, if you are not home or on site, I let you know when I arrive and when I finish. During the editing process I send you previews to get input and comments about the work. 24-48 hours later I deliver the work via Dropbox and send final invoice.
- What types of customers have you worked with?As a real estate photographer I constantly work with realtors, home owners and business owners. For commercial work I work with architects, construction companies, engineering firms and designers.
