Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Frist off, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I am available on your date. This is my 14th year being a DJ and I am able to keep my rates low as I am not dependent on my DJ income to "make a living". This is great for my clients as it helps with the cost of their wedding budget. Five - Hour Package ~ 625.00 Includes up to 5 hours DJ time, use of mics for ceremonies, toast, and I Emcee your events. I will tailor the music to what you want for your event and if I don't have it, cannot get it from one of my DJ services I will buy up to 20 songs from iTunes. (price is for one system set up only) People ask me if I will do less than a 5-hour package since my rates are so reasonable, it’s the best price I can do due to travel, set up and break down are “my time.” Additional DJ Time ~ 25,00 + Don't know how much time you will want over five hours. No worries. Just order the 5-hour package and add time if you want it at your event. The price is the same, and it's in writing in our contract. I’m not like a lot of other DJs who try to up-charge you before your event for more time than you “might use.”. They do this by telling you they will offer you a discount to buy the extra time before the event. If you don’t pre-buy it, it’s going to coast you sometimes double or triple at your event if you're having fun and want to go an hour longer. I do business with others the way I want people to do business with me. If you want more than 5 hours of play time, the cost is 50.00, and I will split that down to 25.00 for up to 30 minutes. So if you want 90 minutes, it’s 75.00 Dance Light Package ~ 100.00 + Four lights set the mood for dancing. Two up lights and two dance lights that move with the beat of the music. If you're having an outdoor summer wedding or event, dance lights are not effective as it stays light pretty late. So unless you're planning a very late night party, let's talk before ordering lights. Second Sound System ~ 100.00+ Some venues require an additional system if the ceremony is going to be in a different part of the venue than the reception. The 100.00 price includes the use of microphones, a lapel mic for the officiant and a handheld for the couple so everyone can hear the ceremony and one speaker set up. Two speaker set up is an additional 50.00 cost. Travel Cist ~ 25.00+ If a venue is over 30 miles from my zip code 98371 I charge a small fee to help with gas. Other than that, I don’t charge for travel or set up and break down time. I look forward to talking to you about your DJ needs and answering any questions you have about my services Susan D I love music and being around people, so what a great business to have. Music is an important part of weddings, birthdays, parties, retirement. Good customer service comes from a basic like & respect for people. I give active duty military discounts. Being a veteran myself I feel it's super important to support our troops. I also give one event away for charity each year as a fundraiser for a cause I can believe in. I work at doing a different event each year.

Susan was the DJ at our wedding ceremony and reception - and she did an incredible job! My husband and I were so impressed with her professionalism and the fact that she actually met with us once before the big day to go over the details and music selections. There really weren't too many songs that she did not have and if she didn't have one, she would go searching for it until she found it- like the random song I wanted for part of our ceremony :) She was timely, has all the equipment someone may need, she was organized, and enthusiastic! All of which helped keep our day running smoothly and made it that much more fun! She treated our guests with respect, kindness, and patiently handled the ridiculous amount of song requests (mostly from me, the bride). I don't think there is an event that Susan could not handle with ease and she is a fun addition to any celebration! She is considerate and knows that big events, like weddings, can already be very expensive and everything adds up fast - the amount of work she puts in goes above and beyond what her prices account for. Thank you Susan for helping make my day so memorable! Alycia

I have a catering & wedding planning business. We have done a lot of weddings & parties with Susan. She is wonderful, the music fits the theme. Her clients are her focus and they have been happy with her services. Great MC also.

Susan was the DJ at our wedding and she was amazing! She had us fill out a very easy to use form about what kind of music we like, what specif songs we wanted for specific things. She was very easy to talk to and she made our special wonderful!!! She is also very affordable:)

What is there not to say. She was great, on time and very understanding about what we wanted played and not played. She kept the music moving and everyone liked the songs she played (the young in their 20's to the older guest in there 80's) She worked with us to give my daughter the wedding she wanted. Susan is very personal and easy to work with I will be calling on her when my son gets married. She is a gem and worth keeping in my phone book for upcoming events.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Yes, I don't raise my price depending on what someone is willing to pay. I have a base price based on 5 hours of play time + what each additional hour cost, what lights added in coast & if I drove more than 30 miles one way I charge extra for gas

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Finding out what are their needs and wants and how I can help fulfill them. Pass on my experience and be a person of my word. I do business with people the way I want them to people to do business with me. Honestly

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Like I said in my introduction, I've been a DJ for 14 years. There isn't a vocational-tech or training program you go to to learn how to do this. I started out doing home parties with karaoke/dance and friend started asking me if I'd do their birthday or other parties. Friends of their friends started to asked if I'd do their parties and then came the weddings. Before I knew it I had a great side business. Since I work full time, I can keep my rates low, which means you have more money to spend on other things.
