FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 300 hours of continuing education, and I believe in lifelong learning. If you want to know more about the areas I specialize in, please feel free to give me a call or visit my website to download my continuing education credentials. I'm happy to share areas in which I have received extra training.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to become a counselor as a result of working with an amazing counselor when I was in my early teens. I found someone who listened to my experiences with compassion and who was an advocate for me to find my own solutions. I knew at that point I wanted to be for others what she had been for me.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you decide to hire a counselor, the most important thing to look for is someone you feel you can trust. If you come away from the first meeting with any doubts, KEEP LOOKING. Unless you feel comfortable with your provider, the work will not be successful.
